I'm getting a optima blue top for the system only because my car is blue(it's pretty much exactly like the yelolow top except blue is for marine )right now, all the panels got repainted to fix minor issues but the second body shop painted it too dark even though I gave them the color code! They did a good job on everything else though but still.. it's a pain. Now I took oof my gas cap & gave it to them to match the paint so this time there's no excuse. There wont be any pictures of the trunk untill all the custom fiberglass panels, fiberglass trunk lid, & fiberglass enclosures is done & only then the subs can be isntalled & secured. It's been a pain but that's just how it is sometimes for custom work.

I was gonna wait until it finally get finished but mind as well just post some new pictures. Heres' picture of front set-up of the car, it contains 2-5.25in Phoenix Gold elites midrange drivers(made by Morel audio, I'm sure some of u have heard of Morel Audio) in kick panels & 2-6.5in midbass drivers in door panel. Both are powered by Phoenix Gold titanium 600.2(150watts rms to each speaker) , it makes your ears bleed, that's how loud it was but it was slightly tuned & all the gains are all the way down. I have two 30band 1/3octave equalizers that has to be tuned after the subs gets installed. The system will take a whole day to be really tuned, right now it's just tuned slightly.

Here's a picture of MS front & Ms rear that I just had installed, side skirts had fitting problems though so it's not on right now & deciding if I want some other side skirts since it'll cost me to fix it anyway.

Thanks & good luck on your custom system. You will feel so much better with an aftermarket audio system in your Rx8.

The kickpanles was measured in the beginning of the install but still theres really not much room between the clutch & the kickpanels.Yes, it does get pretty close when I wear dress shoes for work & going out at night. I have to angle my feet when stepping on the clutch to avoid hitting the kickpanels. I dont have much of a problem when I'm wearing my nike sneakers though on sundays to play football with my friends. I'm pretty use to it by now driving with the kickpanels but it is a pain though at times when exiting the car in certain tight spaces that sometimes can not be avoided when parking, especially when inconsiderate people park so close to your car but I'll just have to deal with it since I requested the kickpanels to be built instead of putting the midrange & midbass on each side of the doors panels.

I love how the piano black looks for the door buildouts.

Phoenix Gold is very close to my heart. All the hardware I have from them is from the Zero Point series, before the Titanium models came out. Very clean electronics.

I installed some of the Titanium series in my Uncle's '67 Camero SS.

The red accents are a bit much for my taste maybe if it was a deeper red, less orange, I would have more support for the look. If you want to show it, it will definitely stand out in a crowd. Are you getting sponsership from Phoenix Gold? I know they like to do that.

Everything I've done so far to my car is out of pocket with no sponsorship.I could of got s sponsorship from Phoenix Gold if I really wanted one but I dont want their new Xenon stuff, it's kinda fugly, alien looking amps, speakers,& woofers!Phoenix Gold did help me out by replacing one Elite 5.25inch midrange driver which was not functioning right. The Elite components no longer has warrenty because they dont have a contract with Morel Audio any more to make them so they did me a favor by sending me a replacement for free but I did told them that I've spent alot of money on their products though. I hope you still have the Zero point series amps, they are one of the best amps Phoenix Gold have made & also the cleanest sounding amps also along with the MSta series limited editions that they still make with a special order from them. Those still goes for $1000+ on ebay till this day. Phoenix Gold has been my favorite car audio company along with Eclipse but they are going downhill fast & might even go bankruptcy soon in a few years, sadly it might be even sooner with the way the company has been ran.Old school Phoenix Gold stuff is top notch & still are better than most products out there today!

Thier limited edition stuff is limited for a reason, only a handful of people have the money and love music to the point where they can justify spending multiple thousands of dollars on an amplifier. Amazing yes, can it beat a home stereo hmmm for the money no.

Good luck with it all.

Soon I will be putting my zero point five in for a single 12 X max. Should have it in by summer.

They sure do look fugly, mabe even more than the Xenons. They are suppose to be their mid level stuff but I wont buy any of that RsD line though. The only thing I might still buy from Phoenix Gold will be their Xenon amps ,the Ti12Elite subwoofer & maybe some the limited edition old school amps that they still make with special orders. Their new stuff & direction dont seem good at all to me. maybe the RsD amps are pretty decent, at least their amps are still Cea rated & they have not gone to the route of listing fake watts on their stuff their eqiupment like most of the companies out there.
