Sounds great, but do you really think they'll make one for the '8? They say it'll work with "selected 2004 Alpine in-dash receivers." There's much bigger markets out there than the '8.

I take it our head unit is an Alpine? What about the Bose head units?

No, the stock base head unit is not an Alpine. I don't think this is a stock car feature at all..they're talking about putting this capability into some of their after-market heads. I love Alpine, so this excites me...but the blasted RX-8 seems pretty unfriendly to aftermarket head unit installations. Of course it can be done, but I think it would take a lot of custom work to look good.
