Speaker suggestion: I am going for a second carpc install
As nowadays we mostly use my wife's car for our commute to and from office (as i don't let her drive my beloved rx8) so I am going for a second carpc yayyy!!!!. The car is called toyota yaris, it is a hatchback and here is a photo of the car
So can somebody suggest a good speaker set which i can install in this car. I cannot install a subwoffer (as obviously this is my wife's car) so i am looking for excellent speaker set that is under 200 dollars and can deliver the whole low, mid and high range sound.
Thanks

That little matchbox car has got 6.5"s all the way around for anyone reading this.
Well...let me be the first to break the news to you. You're not going to get much in the way of lows from a 6.5" speaker that's also playing every other frequency. Believe it of not, often times the factory speakers provide more low end then anything aftermarket you can just slap in there.
As for quality 6.5"s..... Rainbow, CDT, Focal, Arc, Brax, Image Dynamics, Morel, ..... there's really a lot out there. Check out woofersetc.com . They have much to choose from and great prices. Or atleast use them to help you shop and then once you've decided, shop around for that model number.

I just helped my mom buy a Black 2 dr yaris, those things have some kick to them since they are so so light. Gas is like 38MPG!! $7k out the door new with 600 miles. The car has a lot of space! The rear seats fold down flat into a 2 door coupe! I used the Yaris to carrie my OEM rims and tires to FEDEx when i sold them to another forum member on here....

So there was 1 previous owner who returned it because they changed their mind about the car and wanted something bigger, while the owner had it they put some scratches on the rear bumpers corner (passenger side) like if they backed into another parked car. With that said and $7k later. My mom had her prius 2 door all black! And IM not kidding about the MPG, it was already on the last stick (digital fuel meter) and I went two cities over (about 15mi) and came back and the stick was still there. Really nice...Lemme see if I can find a pic of It....

Let's return to the topic
Returning to the topic, the installed speaker set is very very crappy and as i said, i cannot put in a subwoffer because it would kill the luggage space and my wife will never allow it. Also if one can recommend a good stereo to go along with a speaker set. I would appreciate it.
How about this one

So what are my options. Thanks

I never said add a sub. I just prepared you for what you should expect. And I just gave you a whole load of recommendations.
I thought you were doing a CarPC in this thing? Why would you need a headunit too?

As for speakers, i am complete novice. So i would appreciate if you can recommend a pair for me.

But like firebirdude said...there is a lot out there.
But from personal experience these are what I heard/running.
Personally I am running the Hertz comp. MLK 165 powered by an ARC amp and my friend ran the HSK 165 with the Hertz EP4 amp. Hertz can be found pretty cheap if you shop around. Especially the HSK 165. My friend bought his for 250ish or so. The Hertz line of speakers sounds awesome
My other friend is running Morel Tempo 6. If I remember right he bought his brand new for 150 and it sounds good. I listened to his without a sub and I like it.
Just remember to get a good amp for these comps
Good luck!
