Stereo removal help

I need some help removing the stereo. I've got the TSB 09-013/03 for removing the stereo http://www.finishlineperformance.com...s/9-13-03.html . Step 6 states to remove the lower panel (driver's kick panel). I'm not sure what this is. Its hard to tell by the picture. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

It's the plastic piece directly below the steering column. I'm not sure why they call it a kick panel. Just pop it off like the instructions and you'll find a metal panel behind it. It's really easy to move.

The driver's kick panel is to the right & below the Steering wheel, where your carpet ends going up the center console.

Thanks guys. I thought that was the steering column in the picture, but when they called it a kick panel, that kinda threw me off.

Take off the plastic panel and remove the metal brace behind it for good measure - makes visibility and access for the hidden bolt in the side of the audio head unit that much easier. If you have a magnetic insert for your 10mm socket, that'll make fooling with that little bolt all the eaasier. When it falls out, it's like eit de-maerializes, it's that hard to find.
