Unhappy subs (pics)

i have got the new system two days ago..
subs: 2 JL w3v2 10"
amp: JL 250/1
box: a small sealed box which they made for me..

it sounds fine from inside of the car, at least it is good enough for me
BUT there is a big problem is that when i opened the trunk and listen to it in front of the trunk, i can hear some noise from the subs. (it sounds like the sub hiting something). it happens when the volume is high. and it is just so annoying!!!( but i can't hear the noise when i am inside the car even the trunk is still opened..it sounds fine inside the car. it only happens when i face the sub directly) they were obviously not as good as the same ones that the salesman showed me in the shop...i went to ask them about the noise..but what they said was that it had something to do with the sealed box., if it was a ported box then it would be fine.. i don't trust what they said... the problem could be something else...
is the system suppose to be like this, or they have done something wrong? i am totally confused and have no idea what the problem is. is it because the box is too small? the amp does not have enough power for the subs? or something else?

please give me some advises!!! need ur help..thx

it might be the sealed box that's making the speakers make that noise, how much power do those speakers put out??? You said it only happens when you have the speakers up real high, when you look at it do you see the speakers rattling or the box rattling at all??? It might just be that the speakers need room to breathe, what i'm trying to say is that take the speakers out of the box, then see what it sounds like when you put the music up real high. By the way, nice choice of music in the back, i like that new usher cd.

each speaker has max 300 watts.. and it is the speakers rattling not the box. so is it gonna help if i get a ported box instead? which kind of the box would sound better in this case?
i got the cd right after the installation was done.:p

could the problem be that the 250 watts amp doesn't have enough power?

usually if you hear noise coming from the sub cone area, its one of the following:

1. air leak somewhere, make sure all the screws are in very tightly, and the cut out holes is not too big.

2. teinsel leads hitting the cone of the sub as it moves up and down, if htis is indeed the case, there isnt much you can do, as long as you dont hear it from the inside, its fine.

3. sub box itself rattling, if its a 3/4" wooden box, this very not likely...
