I have a 2006 with a crackling left speaker. Any bass content causes crackling and distortion. Pulled out the speaker and it has an amp attached to the front.
I have a written-off (tree fell on it!) 2005 (with known good speaker as this was my car) so pulled the speaker from that one but it has a separate adjacent amp. The plug going into that amp is different from the 2006. Can anyone tell me the pin/out (wiring diagram) for the 2005 and 2006 as I think I should be able to use the 2005 amp and speaker? Both use 5 active pins. I’m guessing 2 wires for low level audio and 3 to provide 12V power and I don’t know what else.

managed to swap it over. I had to cut off a 5 pin plug from the harness in the 2006 and attach a different shaped 5 pin plug from the 2005. The wire colours in that harness were all the same (although 2 were different gauge) and I probed voltages with my DVM on both vehicles to double check that the 5 wires/pins had the same function.
