system malfunction
i am not sure if it is just me or if anyone else has or had this problem ... but i put a system in the car ... when i start the car of just run off the battery the system kicks and all ... but if i am driving around for a min or so the system stops working ... no power running to the amp ... i know its not the amp cause it happened with my old one and i have a new one now and still the same problem ... all connections are good ... but if i turn the volume up past 20 it starts to work again ... then it will cut out and i have to turn it up to like 30 for it to work ... and sometimes then it will cut in and out ...
Is this something that the car does ??? not allow a power drain on the car or something???

how do you have the power/ground setup?
did you run a dedicated power wire (at least 4 gauge) from the battery to the amp?
do you have a solid ground (chassis bolt)?
are you using low level or speaker level inputs?
Where did you tap the speakers? after the bose amp is safe. pre-bose amp can still be safe if u use a LOC.
turn audiopilot off (bose)?

i have a 4 gauge going from the battery to the amp ...
the ground is to a solid part of the car
i am using kicker solo s12l5
the speakers are tapped pre-boss amp and i have a loc on it ...
and the audiopilot is off
I really think that boss amp is messing it all up. is there a way to just disconnect it? will everything still work if i just cut the power to it?
