hey guys

my radio wont turn off ... theres no display .. i was just listening to radio through my fm transmitter and realized then theres no display ...now theres that irritating blank noise and no controls would work .. helpppp !!

 

have you ever taken your radio out for any reason?

Its most likely that the "face" has somehow gotten slightly disconnected from the rest of it

Your best bet if you have never doneanything to it is to take it to the dealer and tell them exactly what happened.. Hopefully its covered under warranty

 

yes i just got a guy to connect a mp3 jack into my 8 .. i could play from any mp3 player through the stereo .. that guy didnt work for mazda .. but mazda recommended him and i got it done from mazda centre... paid them 240 $ ..im gonna blast at them if they dont repair it for free !!

 

Wow $240??!?!

Thats ALOT of money for not alot of work. - even not ever having taken your stereo out before, you could have done it in 45 mins taking your time and being extra careful

but have him pull it out again - unplug and replug every single wire - and then if that still doesn't work remove the "face" from the stereo and reattach it, thats the problem that has been going around alot.. for some reason that get a little separated and everything goes to ****.

where do you live BTW? maybe there is somebody on the forum here that can help you out.
