Use of line driver

Use of line driver
Is anyone here using a separate LOC and line driver in their RX-8? I know that Audiocontrol and Rockford Fosgate make powered LOCs, but they cost more than what I want to spend. I just need something that will boost the pre-Bose signal so I can hook up my sub amp.
Here’s my situation:
I have a Navone NE-7V LOC to hook up the sub amp to my car (great product by the way). I wired up the LOC to the wires before the Bose amp. The signal was not strong enough and the bass was very weak, so I ended up wiring the LOC after the Bose amp. This signal was strong enough, however as others have experienced, this signal does not give you the cleanest sounding bass. I also get fluctuations of extreme bass to no bass at all, due to the Bose amp doing some weird things to the signal.
When I googled line drivers, I see that they have RCA inputs and outputs. I’m not familiar with line drivers at all, so can someone tell me if the following configuration would work?
Pre-Bose wires --> LOC --> Line Driver --> Sub amp
Thanks.

JL Audio has a small line driver w/ remote volume adjust and pass through for about $60.00. If you use it, you will not need the LOC, but if you already have it installed, the configuration that you listed above (though not the best case scenario) will probably work fine. Just do some research on proper level matching and you should get satisfactory results.

The more components you add, the greater your chance for induced noises. Not to mention you must find a clean looking home for all the pieces. I say sell your Navone LOC and pick up a used Audiocontrol LC6i
