FYI Just checked the Valentine(BTW best.radar.ever) site, they have an upgraded firmware that reduces false positives (and if you own one you know what I'm talking about). I bought mine less than six months ago and they are upgrading it for free. On the site you just enter your serial # and they will tell you how to get it upgraded and if there is a cost associated.

I got it done on my V1 about 2 weeks ago. I real reduction in false positives. Haven't had a PoP lock on yet. Be kinda interesting to see.

 

How long was the turnaround from sending it out to getting it back?

 

About a week. I sent it to them USPS priority and they sent it back 2 day UPS. You decide on how fast you get it to them and how fast you want it back. They also include a insert of new features.

 

They want $55 to do mine purchased 6/17/04.

 

That is the correct price + shipping. Quick turn around and the case was returned in the same condition I sent it. I am still looking to encounter POP radar.

 

I'll try to upgrade mine, but you are nuts if you are LOOKING for a POP radar encounter I hope to avoid radar all together, even if it makes the purchase of the V1 frivolous and unwarranted. V1 is just the backup if my hopes are destroyed.
