Volume button = TV?
Anyone have this where if you have no cd in, you go to "EX", then push the volume button in the navigation screen flips to this blue screen that says TV and then has a bunch of crap in what would appear to be some Japanese writing.
no points for grammar, i understand. By the way anyone know what "EX" stands for.

Yeah I was looking at it again. I bought this car from a dealership in AZ here. The previous owner had done all sorts of upgrades, exhaust and intake for sure from what I could see. So definitely a nice setup. It did have 50K miles on it so the only draw back.
Is that what happens when you have an avelectronics system installed. There is no button on the dash but if I click mode on the stearing wheel I can get to EX 1 and EX 2. I looked around the interior but I wasnt able to find anything that would look like it were out of place or a random box. Where do people normally install it if it is infact an avelectronic deal?
Talk about your dumb luck in life right if it is actually it, right?

that is a splendid idea and all but i dont know where/if a dvd player might be in this car. i havent seen one. Secondly, I can actuall do EX 1,2,3,4,5 or 6. I dont know what these features are. I do have a button that says "tape/md" that does absolutely nothing. Also a "load" button that I believe to do nothing as well.
Anyone with some ideas on what might be in my car. Plus I cant get the Navi disc out of the Dvd Rom. Anyone know something bout that.

Nav disc comes out after you slide the face plate down and then hit eject. The dvd player im refering to is the factory navigation dvd in the back console. It wont play dvds but the aveletronics unit is wired into the wiring for the nav dvd. You might have to take the back console apart to trace the wires. You might not have a regular dvd player in the car anymore because the previous owner might have removed it. Tape/MD is extra options for the head unit...minidisc player and tape player. Load button is for loading multiple cd's into your factory disc player. It hold up to six if it has a 6 dics cd changer up front.
