Ok so I've been hearing a static coming from my back left speaker the past week or so. I get back there and sure enough the damn speaker is rattling. I've never had my stereo above 14.... is that normal for it to blow at that level?

You guys think there is any change of getting it replaced under warranty or do I just need to buy a replacement? If I just need to buy, any suggestions on a good but inexpensive set of replacement speakers for the back? Nothing fancy but something that won't blow if I god forbid turn it up to 15 or so.....

 

wow -- ive run my (Bose system ) speakers all the way up to 25 and 28 (windows down going pretty fast) and ive never had a problem.

Only problem is my stupid drivers door rattling from the bass

 

I noticed my drivers door rattles...and my back drivers side speaker top rattles. It doesn't sound blown...but it still rattles.

I've got an 05 Shinka - currently with one blown speaker in the drivers door. I really like the car a lot, but I can honestly say I can't wait to dump the craptastic Bose system that came in the car. What I can't understand about the stereo in in this car is how did Mazda get a Bose system to sound so crappy? I had a factory Bose system in my 01 Alero, and I can honestly say that it blew away any other factory stereo I've ever had in any of my other cars. What do you suppose the difference between the two systems is? My stereo sounds so crappy I'm actually starting to wonder if there was a mix up at the factory, and they mistakenly put the wrong stereo in my car.

I'm currently shopping around for the best price on some Infinity Kappas and a good amp.

 

I have all my speakers replaced with Alpine Type-R rear & component front. Maybe you should go for a speaker swap also. They're awsome.

Roller what exactly did you purchased??? I want to swap my crappy sound system as well.

 

i have a similar problem... i thought i was going deaf in my left ear... so i decided to check HU settings which was centered.... then i turned it so it was all the way to the left and there was nothing... now my question is, is this a deffinate blown speaker or could something be loose? also if it is blown exactly which speaker am i replacing?

 

LiL BenNy - I think you'll need to look at the speaker in the left door. I've seen a couple DIYs on how to remove the door panel (the passenger up/down thing and the raddle hunt one).

I'm looking into replacing the rear two speakers and the front door speakers with something decent. Anybody want to save me some search time and tell me the size of the backs and the size of the fronts in the doors? Also how bout a link on where to buy some decent quality speakers.
