What I've done so far...and what's next
Ok...
Here's what I've done since I bought my 08, GT, Sunlight Silver, Auto - with 6831 miles on March 1.
1. Just finished doing all door panels to two tone - black and silver
2. Pulled off stock spoiler - running EVO-X now, but have the lip as well.
3. Dice Ipod
4. 20 mm spacers all around
5. Finished BQueting all the interior (except headliner), and fender wells.
6. Clear corners w/tint.
7. LED interior lights
8. Tinted windows
9. Wrapped silver interior rails black satin to match the piano black.
10. I'm having my road rash (minor) repaired on Thursday.
11. Oil change and full inspection.
12. Added leather to front and rear armrest.
13. Covered pass thru in leather.
14. Handbrake in leather
15. Fender strakes
16. Tons of rattle hunts
17. Heat gunned out the scratches in center rest and door panels
18. Door dings removed
I think that's it....
I've been busy in a month of ownership.
TO DO:
Just bought a 2007 Pop up Nav screen about 10 min ago for 300. Will be doing custom install where I remove the standard screen and replace it with the Garmin Nuvi 3790 LMT. Hard wire it for power. This nav has voice input, bluetooth, and other features. I wanted voice nav...i refuse to input addresses manually...so this is my solution for looking somewhat stock.
Will be doing some kind of tasteful lighting in the fogs...maybe moving them.
Having every nick and chip on paint fixed when the trunk lid is reworked.
Might wrap the entire car if i can find a color I like enough to spend 2k on.
I think I'm about done for a bit after this.
I'm really liking the car so far. Can you tell?
Pics to come.

It's just the pic. The floor mats are a three color grey weave that looks like carbon fiber with an RX8 logo embroidered. Not sure if they came with it...or aftermarket. Pretty good if they are factory.

Will do. And actually I paid 300 - that was a typo.
I'm trying to decide with nav will fit directly (or as close as possible) to the factory.
The Nuvi is a little small...but very thin and has voice input and bluetooth.
There is a Garmin that is huge...but no voice input.
All I can say is electronics move SO fast now...

I've been looking at the Magellan RoadMate 9055 which has bluetooth and an a/v port. The a/v port makes it really tempting if you want to hook up a dvd player or backup cam in the car.

I've also been looking at the Witstech A81G Capacitive Multitouch Full USB which is an android based gps unit. I'm big into the Android OS with my phone and tablet so I can understand if this one doesn't float your boat.

Even though I'm an android fanboy I'm still kind of leaning towards the Magellan RoadMate 9055. If you do decide to look into buying either one of those I don't suggest buying them from the websites I posted. I just wanted to give you their official product webpage. I was able to find the Magellan RoadMate 9055 for $200 while they're $300 on the Magellan website.

I just got done with a consult with my installer...I have the motorized nav LCD screen now.
I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and put in a full double din - rather than try and mod the LCD.
So...I'll be selling the LCD screen now. It was a good thought...but I really want full functionality like I had in my 2008 G35S I just sold.
thanks for the tip above...the Magellan is one I was looking at also...never seen the Pad above. I have the EVO shift and love the Android op system, as well.
