I got my RX8 and I'm waiting for overload's aux input, but i've found myself another problem. I can't figure out where to mount mine?! I don't wanna put mine in my center console because I need to be able to change the track with its controls. Also the red buttons will probably look sick with all the red in the car already. But mine's a 6 speed, so I can't come up with anyplace to put it up front where its not going to be in the way, or get punched when I shift. I wanted to do something in front of the ash tray but it blocks the heater controls. So what does everyone else with an iPod do? Throw up some pics if you have em! I want to use the dock because it will make throwing it in and out as easy as possible, plus i never have to worry about charging it, and the dock has a nice line level out so I won't have to worry about the volume on the iPod itself.

 

I'm thinking someone will have a way to use the steering wheel controls to change the track at some point, so you can go stealthy.

OK I want to bring this thread back to life, because I just did the CD Player Solder in AUX Input hack on my radio and now I have great iPod audio going right into my radio. But my ipod is just kinda hanging around. Its kinda of a tightly packed center console, plus being a stick, I'm really limited where I can put it. I'd really like to use the dock so I can have one handed installing and removing. Where has everyone else mounted their ipods?
