like the title states... where do you guys leave your cell phone when you drive? leaving it in my pocket is really irritating when i drive... i usually put it in the arm rest but with musics on you cant hear it at all and ontop of that it comes out like a hot cake bc of the transmission... i was thinking of getting one of those ricey racing seats to have my phone sit in that and connect it to the air vent... lol please feel free to post pics aswell!

 

Usually in my pocket because when I'm driving I don't want to be talking on my cell phone. If I'm expecting a call that is important (that I need to take) I put it in the beverage holder. The ash tray is also another place that it fits nicely.

 

Without the ashtray insert my cell phone fits nicely behind the door.

 

Why is it irritating to keep it in your pocket? Do you wear tight pants?

i keep my phone in the ashtray...the door is always open b/c that's where i plug in my radar detector.

 

My phone came with a clip, so I just put my phone in the clip and clip it to the sun visor and I can hear my ringer fine when my music is turned up and its easy to see the phone when it lights ups when its night time. But its just a really easy and quick place to reach the phone without any problems.

 

When I drive, I put it in the cupholder next to me. Easy to reach and hear.

 

I put my in the ash tray too, and even though it would fit better if I took the ashtray insert out, I leave it in so the door won't close. This way I have to leave it open and I can see the light on the phone flash if/when it rings.

I leave it in my computer bag in the trunk.
You wouldn't want to be distracted by hearing it ring, would you?
Its not like you would be dumb enough to answer it while you were driving...

and as for ash tray... i have to many coins so it doesnt stay in...

cup holder... is what i use not but i cant really hear if it rings...and it my be covered... i cant drive without the arm rest either lol..

About a month ago, I found a neat little magnet for cell phones. It is about the size of a silver dollar and is sticky on one side, magnetic on the other.

An alcohol prep pad comes with it. Just wipe off an area just above your radio display and tack it on. If you have a newer cell phone, a metallic pad is provided to stick onto your phone.

I have a old, ancient brick style cell phone that is in a leather case with metal clasp, so I didn't have to use the metallic pad. The magnet holds the phone very well despite the bumpy *** excuses called roads around here.

Oh, it costs about $6 and I found it at a local drive thru car wash.

 

usually i put it in the passenger seat. but, if i have a passenger then on top of the ash tray lid. (i have a silicon case on my phone which reduces sliding.)

oh, and just thought i'd say... LOVE THE SIGGY mr. wilson. dominion has been replaced. LOL

 

I found a neoprene cell phone holder that goes on the seat belt. When I drive my car my cell is right on my chest. I have an extra one if interested $20

 

My pants are always loose, but I still have a heck of a time getting my cell out of my pocket while sitting in the RX-8...

I used to open the ashtray and leave it there, but I like it in the cup holders better...of course, if I'm expecting a call, sometimes I'll put it on vibrate and place it on the seat between my legs.
