Where the hell do you put your trash???

Where do you guys put your trash in your 8? I've seen a few little add-on/hang-on sacks but I cant figure a place to put it, at least without looking crappy. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Frank

I don't bring stuff in the car that will end up in the trash to begin with.

I have an old zippered black leather dayplanner cover, about 8X12........removed the dayplanner pages and the 5 ring binder. I Just stuff trash in it and anything too large I just pull over and find a trash can.

Part of it is the neat freak in me......but it gets the trash out of sight, and the case stores out of sight.

I put it in the ashtray. How much trash can you generate while driving anyway?

Trash?
Please tell me you're not keeping trash in your car.
Really, if you need to keep a place to keep your travel trash why not just drive an SUV or a minivan and hang some Autozone/Wal-Mart car bags from a double taped hook on the dash. I don't mean to insult, but come on. The RX8 is a sports car, not a mommy wagon.

Honestly, I do have lunch in my car sometimes, and I'm really not a neat freak or anything, but when I'm done I exit the car with said trash in the bag it came in. I do not leave trash in my car.

There is no eating in my car. I used to work the same job as a roommate and one day he thought he could bring oatmeal into my car. He ended up biking to work. (I'm not heartless, it's only 2mi).

I'm thinking of getting a little handvac because I can't help but notice dust collect on the dashboard, various little things carried in by my feet, etc. It seems like my regular weekly cleaning can only keep my car's interior pristine for one maybe two days. Guess that's what I get for making it my DD.

The ashtray works in a pinch.. Just for stuff like gum wrappers and bank receipts. Not so sure there is a way to make a trash bag not look crappy in a car.

I use Mr. Fusion for my trash. Gets rids of trash and increases MPG at the same time. http://journeyhomeburke.files.wordpr.../mr-fusion.jpg

I have a 5 year old son who sits in the back... he creates trash from thin air.

Good lord people...I didn't know that this would cause such a ruckus. I'm not going to go into a ton of details to explain myself because there is no need for me to but suffice to say (much like the few nice people who actually replied with something worthwhile), sometimes in a pinch you just need a place to put some trash until you can throw it out in a proper trash can, end of story. I do not need an SUV for this, nor am I a "fatass."

Anyway, thanks for the replies to from the courteous people!

i shove receipts and other paper trash into the driver side door area. Coins go into the ash tray area. Anything else has no place and goes out when I do.

Exactly. Even if I do occasionally create some sort of trash while driving..... throw it on the passenger seat and bring it with me when I stop. And I second the motion that eating is not allowed in my car.

mysql, firebirdude - I've ended up doing both of those actually at some point or another.

But YES everyone the trash doesn't sit in my car for weeks at a time. I would never do that to my 8. If I make trash I take it out the next time I stop. I was just curious what everyone did with it until then.

+1 Trash adds weight and slows the car down, not to mention lowers gas mileage

I'm a slob. There is trash all over my car. I just discovered a few french fries near my fuel door release this morning. That was breakfast.

I throw the stuff in the door too (only temporary ). However the change goes in the little pocket thingy to the left of the steering wheel in the dash. I use it for carwashes and parking

I don't really get these "no eating" rules. As long as it is clean food, we are human after all.

LOL I've got quarters in the coin compartment too, but until you just mentioned it I had totally forgotten about it. Mad money!
