6x9 in the rear yes, but for the front you need custom brackets, either made yourself or by a shop, or the easiest option http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6-Spe...fAudioQ5fVideo

ok thank you, also if i just purchase new speakers, a couple more questions. If i get new speakers, do i have to connect them to the bose amp? If i do, will it even work? Also, where can i find a how to with pictures on how to remove the bose speakers? i know how to remove the front door panels, but i dont know how to remove the back panel where the 6 by 9s are.

best thing to do is go with an aftermarket 4 channel amp, or maybe even a 5 channel and add a sub in the trunk, right now www.sonicelectronix.com is having an anniversary sale with discounted prices on some things you might be able to find a decent amp there, and subs of course are always the best prices there

No you cannot power those front with the Bose amp. The rears are fine, but you'll need an aftermarket amp for the front. Might as well get a 5-channel now and love life. I use the Kicker ZX700.5 and love it. eBay is your cheapest price.

I just answered your amp question...

And if you're going to replace the front Bose speakers with a 6.5" set and hold off on adding a subwoofer, you're going to lose a lot of bottom end in your music.

get a 5 channel amp and run a sub, any speaker will likely sound better than the stock paper ones

I'm not a fan of the 5 Ch amps. The mono out for the sub is always so weak from what I have seen. 100-200w rms is not enough to run a sub. I have done it so don't get me wrong but it defiantly sounds better when you overpower and tune appropriately.

Making a boom boom boom is one thing but making a consistent boom boom boom with out any drop out is another. I guess you could band-aid this problem with a decent capacitor.

mmmm.... coffee

Running the same subs on a ZX700.5. Bumps like a champ.

hey guys, ok back to this subject, so i see they have brackets to fit 6-1/2 speakers in the 9" hole, but to they make brackets to fit 6x9 speakers in the 9" hole? if no, is a 6-1/2 speaker the largest i can go in front?

you would have to make or have those custom made because a 9" stock speaker location is not normal, also some 6x9 speakers will have a mounting area larger than 9" and they may not fit, most that i would use are 8.75" so it would be a tight squeeze making a bracket
