I just recently plugged in the xcarlink and it works great but i had a question and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? i simply left the box under the center console plate in between the cup holders and the shifter....i know it gets real hot there and was wondering if that would be ok? any also done this? any problems? i can easily pull it out but its a bit bulky and would take up the entire cup holder.

If I'm remembering right, I had mine behind the ashtray. The cable was still plenty long enough to run up and into the cup holders.

Plenty of room back there. After your remove the center console, there's two screws at the base of the ashtray. Remove them and pop the ashtray/cig lighter out. That should allow you plenty of access.
