Question XM Commander

So I'm installing a XM Commander... I'd like to wire directly to the fuse box panel... the radio unit is already out. Wiring is next. Any suggestions or alternatives???

I had really good luck just taking it from the cigarette lighter. Have had it for 3 months and no problems... Where are you planning on installing it? Here are a few suggestions:

Thumbs up XM Comander Installed, Thanks

Flyboyindy,

Thanks much for the information. After posting my request for instruction, I saw your pix and also some other information.

As you suggest, I connected to the cigarette lighter for ACC power and I connected to the radio connector, terminal 1B(bLue/Red)... Thanks Yuhki !!! Great Schematics.

...and as everyone else, the hidden bolt really was hidden until I removed the metal frame.

I noticed you and Allmazda mounted the antenna outside. I hesitated to push the rear glass or slam the cord. I tried installation inside on the rear shelf!!! Works fine...receiving all stations. loud and clear. I'll see what happens when I travel outside the area.

Right now, the main control box is mounted under the dash. Where did you mount yours??? I'm considering moving everything to the trunk... there certainly is enough wire!!!

Anyone know how to remove the center console??????

No problem... I have the control box under the dash too... just didnt want to mess with taking the console apart... I always have an extra screw left over every time I take my cars apart... lol So I am trying not to take my car apart as much as possible =)
