Xm Commandor Install Problem!!!

HELP!!! – I had a very reputable car/auto dealer install an XM Commander in my RX-8 today; when we arrive to pick it up they were trouble shooting. I was told that when they hooked everything back up the original radio would not play but the XM unit worked, the air conditioner stays on and the controls no longer control it. The display no longer displays it stays solid red and the DCS icon on the instrument panel flashes.

I Chose this unit cause I do not like all the wires and plug in etc., and the unit is place in the ash try area since I do no smoke. So nothing shows. I have the antena inside in the back between the two speakers.

They said this is the first RX-8 that they installed this XM Commander in and all it is unplugging and plugging in type thing, no cutting of wires etc. They are STUMPED. I was afraid to take my car; they are going to take it to Mazda on Monday to see what is going on. THIS REALLY SUCKS!!!

Has anyone else had this type or similar problem??????

if your a/c is affected, i would assume that they didn't connect one of the harnesses when putting your radio back. either they accidently cut the wires or broke one or more of the pins in plugging them back in.
