Do you get the noise even when you listen to a CD without using the Xcarlink? If so, then its an issue with your headunit. If not, then its the Xcarlink.
I have the same firmware version as you, so that is not the issue.
Also, the noise you get when you place calls is normal cause you might have your phone too near the radio. This is not connected to ur issue with the xcarlink.

It's the carlink. I have absolutely no noise playing my cd's thru the HU... Yeah, I know what's causing it, I just figured there would some way to shield it better so that I don't get it.. My biggest complaint is the noise while playing music thru the carlink.

more questions...
For the Bluetooth module option, there's no need to splice the power cable at all, correct?
Is there an empty connector at the back of the Head Unit for audiolink to be connected?
Also, it will not work with 9.81 or 10.01. Will 9.82 work?
"NOTE: The factory headunit's firmware revision must be 9.55 or greater. The unit will not work on earlier firmware revisions or with 9.81 or 10.01. "
anyone?

Does the Integration kit only fit to a specific Ipod model or does it fit to all? Noticed I have to choose an ipod when I order. I have several Ipod's I'll use it for

Anyone who can answer my question?
Why am I supposed to choose an Ipod type at the bottom of the page if it's universal to all Ipods?

because they have 2 models, an old one and a new one, new ones charge ipones, old ones don't say you have an iphone so you get the newer model.
more detail: audiolinks charged via firewire, xcarlink charges via usb
old ipods had firewire and usb support, iphones only have usb
was about to buy and made 2nd thoughts, why woud i pay 120 dollars (after tax AND coupon rebate) just to listen to my pipod in the car. i recently lost my job, and i could get this at another time, for maybe cheaper, or when a new product that does the same thing from another company, for also cheaper.
xcarlink is the only ipod adapter that allows you to control the ipod also, which i think is most important.

Ok, I have a 5th gen and 6th gen I'll use it for. I don't have an Iphone. So it doesn't matter whether I pick 5th or 6th because it'll work with both anyway? But I don't get this, why would they list 6th gen with 80 GB/160 GB and 6th gen with 160 GB as two different options? o:

Just FYI, some things I'm noticing since updating to 3.0 for my iPhone (not 3Gs).
Cons: I'm having to connect and dis-connect several times before I'm able to play my music thru the iPhone..
Good: On the car's display, the track timer seems to be working now as well as the track counter. I'm noticing that when you press the ^ for the next song selection, the counter now moves along with each ^ and the timer resets to 00:00 and starts over.. before, sometimes the track counter would move, sometimes not..but the timer never reset. I'd have over 40:00mins of play time lol.
Just wondering if anyone else noticed this or not.
