This will probably be a short lived post, but I was browsing Chips Motorsports website and came across an idea I had a while ago, but they have executed it. Anyone know anything else about this?

Saw that a while back too. Haven't heard anything since, which is normally an indicator as to how well it went.
If I were to guess .......... it probably made less than 15hp over a stock 6 port but lost a lot down low.

If you slapped a turbo on it, you still have the side seal health constraints regarding EGT's to deal with as well. While it does solve the exhaust gas flow constraint, it might not be enough to make it worth while. As Brettus said, no news is usually an indicator as to how things went.

People have made massive power with a 4 port REW with 2 exhaust ports. Why reinvent the wheel?

There is a reason why you don't see 7 valve heads on a piston engine.
