E-manage tuned by KDR Rotary today

I am still one of the hold outs to get an interceptor or similar piggy back due to the cost. My last attempt to utilize the E-Manage for a while was to take the car to KDR in PA who was highly recommended by Benny of Greddy. Like most, after the R flash, once my car hits 80 MPH, not in turbo the A/F gauge pins at 11.0 which I knew was even more rich and the car stated to break up and backfire badly. Once hooked up at KDR, Dave is the owner and a cool guy, had the same results on his high end A/F gauge. The car was at 10.0 or below once I hit 80 and was between 5-6K. Using the Emanage software, he was not able to remove any fuel in the higher rpm range. The setting was 0 and could not be brought down into the negative numbers. The only option he had was to increase (I believe) the air going into the intake. He had to reduce the setting to -27 which is the lowest he was able to set in order for the car not be run as far rich as it was. He was only able to do this up to 110 MPH on the dyno which is where I am stuck for the moment. I will check the condition of his changes for the next 2 weeks to see if the stock ECU changes his settings back. In any event, I think the only solution will be to get an aftermarket piggy back. Will post update.

Dennis

Is 110mph not fast enough for you? Even 1/4mi racing is only up to 105mph in the greddy turbo 8.

Stop wasting your money dyno tuning the emanage and get the Interceptor (or other EMS). I'll be dynoing my Interceptor X/Greddy turbo soon (tuned it myself, only small adjustments needed to get the AFR's to 11.5 at WOT up to 10psi.)

If you do not intend to increase the boost, I'd stay with the emanage (if your current map holds).

I agree with you as far as wasting my time with the Emanage. The issue has been the cost for the Interceptor. I will most likely get one after the new year.
As far as the 110 MPH goes, I have done that on a wide open major highway.
"F" the R flash.
