13-rew 9.0 CR rotos in rx8, how to?
hi
goal is to archieve 450hp on the renesis turbo engine in rx8.
is it possible to fit 13-rew 8.5 CR rotors to the renesis engine to lower comp. ratio?
is there any porting available for renesis?
i thought to fit 13-rew to rx8 but engine mount is very different... thus probably better is to rebuild renesis.
please advice.

Theres like 10000000 post that the CR is NOT the factor in how many horsepower Renesis is making.
Renesis is a COMPLETELY NEW design with N/A in mind, stop going back to the old design.

^^^ FD's are routinely making 400hp and more, correct? I think there has been maybe one renesis run at 392, and it was probably running on the ragged edge of disaster (assuming pump gas).
Low compression rotors would be nice and all but you can't use existing ones. So unless you're an engineer with access to a foundry, engineering software, and/or machine shop and lots of spare time, it's not going to happen.

450 is doable on 10:1 compression ratio. Instead of inventing a new rotor, it might be more reasonable to just build up the necessary fuel control/engine monitoring system you would need to keep it in check. There just haven't been enough 400 hp stock Renesis internals projects to really say what will give first. It might be seals, it might be the tranny, it might be XYZ other thing. The FD guys know what gives when on their engine and can plan for that.

I dont see why Renesis cant push over 400 hp. Just need time, Someone already hit the 390+ mark, so 400+ is possible.
How many of you can make a Stock FD to go above 400 HP mark WITHOUT major modification ? and without compromising the reliability of the car ?
I dont want a car that can only run on dyno or that 12 seconds drag race, I prefer a car can last me couple of years, and be able to smoke those *stock STi nubs* on the road with easy. Renesis can do that, and its far far FAR more reliable than any 13B-REW can.
Read RG's post, it explains alot about the possiblities of Renesis. (and how to get high hp)

Do some seriously heavy porting on the exhaust. That is one major difference in the REW design. It uses Peripheral ports on the exhaust vs the renesis' side ports. I currently think that the exhaust is a problem right now, but no one seems to do anything about that fact that they suck! Want big power, open those exhaust ports wide open so the engine push all the air into the turbo better.

I agree that the siamesed port design sucks.

Its cheaper to use the siamesed design. Probably quite a lot of power...
