2006/2007 Autos with 6 port engine and force induction compatible?
Tried searching but found no results. Anyhow like the title says are the turbo kits for the MT 6 port engines compatible with 2006-2007 autos that also now have the 6 port engines? Aside from the transmission and ecu differences, are there any differences in the engine?

not that i know of. with only 7500rpms, you can get a used greddy turbo, it'll provide you with enough power. Also there is around where the turbo makes peak power on MT RX-8s. The trans should be able to handle 230-240rwhp. But you gotta find a good tuner to tune it.

Thanks for the info. I would like the Pettit supercharger for my car when it is released, but as it is designed for the 6port MT and 4 port AT I was just wondering if the 6port MT kit would fit my car. I know that a SC would be the best for an AT transmission given that it will give me more usable power in the lower band of the power curve given the limit of the 7500 rpm redline. I was just inquiring into further options in regards to turbos in case the Pettit kits are delayed more or for whatever complications that particular kit doesnt work with the 6 port ATs.

On the 6speed AT the 6 Port Renny is also limited to 7500 rpm?
That's no fun... Is this because of the limitations of the AT trannies?
Just seems odd, the aux ports open at 6200, not much room to play with the increased airflow.

Its limited probably as a safety measure, hence the 6 port auto is rated at 212 hp instead of 232 since it cant rev to 8500 like the MT. I know there are ECU reflashes, at least for the 04-05 models where you can increase it to 8500 rpm, there are some threads on it in the AT specific forum. Seems 8500 rpm flash is safe long as you switch out to royal purple max AT oil and get an AT oil cooler. Its something i'll definitely look more into when the time comes. Not sure if the interceptor-x can be used to increase the rpm limit or not, guess i'll shoot them an email and find out since pettit is looking to ship their kits with interceptor-x.

Maybe to 8000rpm, but dont push it to 9500, you risk blowing your tranny and the torque converter wont work efficently at those rpm. Just dont do it, if you have a super/turbo charger on it, theres enough hp to play with even with just 7500rpm.

There are a few N/A AT members here with 8500 redline ecu flash, no F/I though. Oh and got the guys from mazsport to reply to my question, indeed the interceptor-x can be used to up the redline a bit, actually more then quite a bit which isnt at all healthy lol. He said the interceptor can be set to 16,000 rpm if you wanted to blow your engine lol. This will be a good thing since it looks like pettit will be shipping with the interceptor-x. Even without F/I it does give some option to us AT owners though. Intake, pulleys, exhaust and interceptor-x seems like a nice NA alternative until the pettit units arrive or for those just interested in NA.

I would like to see a boosted 6 port A/T.
