20b coversion cheaper than turbo kit??

Im still saving for a 20b swap with a single turbo i have about $5000 saved but too me every wants a fast RX-8. Dont get me wrong they have to nice turbo kits that are trying to come out like, Mazsport has a very nice stage 4 turbo for almost $10,000 and to me that seems high when i would know if i can keep up with a modded out EVO, to me its nt a nice feeling getting beat by a Neon SRT , so i just soon do my car right the first time.

i don't think you fully appreciate what a full 20B conversion will take. Be prepared to also convert your power steering, A/C and radio, not to mention the engine, subframe, tranny, driveshaft and ECU.

unless you do the work yourself, it's going to cost you 2-3x more than the most expensive turbo kit.

if it was the other way around, you'd see most of us with 20b's

10k for the mazsport kit.... 30k to do a 20b conversion.... that is the truth and well with that 10k you are not just getting a turbo system you are getting a fuel system upgrade, all turbo compnents, ems, and a quality product.... you can use the other 20 to pay off the car.... although it would be cool to have a 20b conversion and i would do it in a heartbeat but if you only have 5k, i would go with the mazsport stuff..... but mazsport would also do teh 20b conversion for you

You can get a 20B conversion done for cheaper than $30K. The cheaper you want it done, the more you need to do on your own. Right down to fabricating and welding in your own engine mounts and potentially relocating many things in the car. It is not an easy conversion by any means.

GOD.....I wish the factory would build a limited run of 20B RX8's. Probably never happen due to
profit...etc. Shame as everyone would love to have the triple rotor threat.

If you think people complain about mileage now, just think about what they'd say about a 3 rotor!
