I think you should all just wait. The fact that its taken 14 months is not going to change, so now its time for us to wait and see if scott its going to go thru.

He is porbably Super busy and working super hard to be on time for every customer. BUT..... is every customer waiting since last year? or he is just finishing everybody else and keep stick waiting? those questions and all your questions are going to be answered soon, when The car is done.

So I think we should all just wait. No excuses for nobody, including Mazsport. December is the deadline.

Scott and Betsy are cool. I think enough of them both to be taking my car to him for an appointment in January. And i dont take my car to just anyone.
This build is taking a long time and kudos to stick for his patience. Its one thing to put an engine in a car --it is another to engineer the total package. I havent seen a 3 rotor in a RX8 that has been mounted like this. Has anyone else? Maybe I have limited info on these conversions, but has anyone else seen a 3 rotor mounted into an rx 8 in this fashion? If so please share.

how does one go about paying for a build like this? Do you just get a huge bill at the end or does it require a deposit and additional payments along the way? Because if it's the latter of the two....

stick did refund my money for a turbo kit last year. It was a deal that just fell thru for multiple reasons but when I requested a refund he imediately responded. I have also done business with mysql and that transaction went very smoothly. In addition, I am currently doing business with Mazsport and have been very pleased.

No, I didn't say you shouldn't be pissed off. You probably should.
However, read between the lines:
Don't argue with the waiter before he delivers your food.

I think this whole situation is a prime example of how the nature of this business is far more about people and relationships than it is about technical matters.

I agree, that is only if you don't want to get a refund and go eat somewhere else.

In otherwords, pay for your appetizer and get on down the road.......

You aren't getting it still. I take it you've never worked in the food service industry.

Pissed off waiters leave "surprises" in the food of surly patrons.

I thought that was common knowledge? I am not so sure a food-service analogy applies as this project is more a long-term commitment/relationship than a simple A/B exchange.

It can rapidly turn into a simple A/B exchange if you antagonize the vendor to distraction!

What I am telling you is that I would have ate the appetizer and drank an expensive bottle of wine but after 6hr's I would have got up PAID for the appetizer and wine and left to go to a different resteraunt to eat.

P, have you already said that if you were Stick you would take your car out of Mazsport and put it elsewhere?

As for "surprises", I would like to think that Scott's ethics, and those of his employees, would prevent Mazsport from engaging in any vindictiveness.

Mr. Hill

I don't think I had said that yet??????

I said nothing to the effect of "surprises".
MazdaManiac said that.............................

I don't think he meant anything like that though..???

mm, i have not slandered scott. you don't even know me, and i gain nothing from it. i think calling a 14month wait a long and slow wait is rather self-explanatory. and i don't plan on checking for cut brake line before i get into the car, if that's what you were implying. for me to slander scott willingly, it would take a blown engine within next few months, broken parts, bent rods, and no responses despite all that.

jedi, entire amount was paid upfront last year and beginning of this year. it turned out to be more work than he anticipated, so there has been additional charges. i'm guessing i'd have to pay bit more when i meet him in a few days. i just have no idea what, but i did tell him how much i can honestly pay without robbing a bank, so it'll have to remain below that or at that.

blu, should've told me earlier, punk. k

romy, yes, fd tranny.

I just wondered if you had yet said that, P, because that's what you seemed to be implying. Rather than assume, I though I would ask you.

"Surprises" was MM's comment and I wanted to address that universally. I failed to make the distinction. Sorry. I agree that I don't think MM was alluding to vindictiveness but I wasn't sure so I hadda bring up the point for further discussion.

That's my approach in what I am doing, too, Twinks. I clearly lack the technical knowledge of many others on this forum so I try and surround myself with people who will push me to enhance my skill set and show me stuff, as I will try and share with them that which I have learned. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

Are you retarded? You did slander him, you signed up a duplicate account and just started posting bullshit.

I have no problem with someone complaining if they have an issue, but you took the ***** route signed up another account and started bashing.

Be a freaking man for once in your life and just say "I'm sorry for being a douce bag"

is that for me? anyway, i really don't think it'd come to that.

last time i got stranded making the cross country trip because of a busted vacuum line, i called scott on the wknd and he called back immediately. i'm sure things will be different when i call due to product issues rather than just to be updated. i'm hoping that part of scott still hasn't changed after two years of growth because that was the quality i was banking on when i decided to do this at mazsport.

DD, he didn't do that. The alternate username was created by someone who thought they were helping out by getting involved in the discussion and using the same computer to do it. Regardless of what the rest of you might think about Stick, I have spent a lot of time on the phone with him and he has never discussed with me any feelings other than frustration and disappointment with the way things have gone. He has never blamed anybody nor cared to waste time trying to. I am sure his feelings are something we can realate to but I also think that forums such as this will never serve to solve problems like these, either.

digital, i got better thing to do rather than posting random crap about someone i'm working with. i noticed sigtech was shilling pettit and esmeril. do us a favor. call them up and talk to either of them, i don't even know them.

if bunch of cops busted through your livingroom right now, cuffed you, and put you in jail for trafficking for 10yrs, i'm sure you'd be just as pissed off as i was.

in the end, i really shouldn't care what most of you think except for the few i want to keep a working relationship with in the future. and it seems everyone i do care about still supports me, just except for scott and possibly betsey. and that's the only thing that bothers the hell out of me right now because i can't even contact them.

I Know this is all twisted, but to get you up to speed...

1) Stick was caught with a duplicate IP, blamed it on a co worker.
2) Stick then says that co worker did not do it and blamed it on a GF.
3) The final was that the GF did not do it and he has no idea who did, just someone other than him.

So you can conclude 1 of 2 things, his GF or Friend is a liar. Or he did in fact did do it and he is a liar.

He has been given the opportunity to explain himself and he keeps tripping on his own BS.

fine, i must know the person, does that make you happy? most of my friends think i'm a moron for spending more for a new engine than another brand new rx8, and many also think mazsport parted out my car then sold it to drug lords in FL. but whoever it was, they're not willing to come forth, so what the hell am i supposed to do? i'm done beating on this. once the weekend's over, i'm calling scott and asking all my co-workers who know of my plight. and that's really all i can see myself capable of doing at this point.
