I love that word. That is my favorite word of 2007.

OT: English - isn't it a beautiful language? It really can be used for so many focused, precise purposes.
There is good reason why many people with native languages other than English use American English idioms in their daily speech.
Really, no other language has the potent brew that is the "7 words you cannot use" and their bretheren.

I noticed, MM. Ya have any sick humor stuff to post on my "Menstrual" thread? We could use some over there to lighten up the mood a bit.

Nah, ya gotta read what I posted. I called myself an Emo-Bitch and apologized to others for my contribution to some of the negativity and tension around here. I wanted to lighten up the mood with at least one thread that was supposed to be funny. I do have two solutions, of which I shouldn't speak in public, that are fail-safe remedies for PMS. But that's not what my thread is about.

The unfortunate thing is that this thread has gotten out of control. Maybe I could have handled this a bit better by not calling sig out publicly but I just looked into someone who insulted me publicly so that's the way it goes. I do want it known that I have given Stick the benefit of the doubt that he is in fact not sigtech. It may be a little late for that though. I find it most plausible that sig is someone he works with who is not being honest with him about what they posted.

EDIT: I've decided to go ahead and reverse my decision and leave this open provided people can keep it back on topic which it hasn't been in a while. I hope stick is still willing to show off the results when it is done and I hope everything is resolved with Scott. A new thread can also be started at that time if this one is too cluttered. Keep it nice people.

So if Scott promised the car would be delivered and broken in on the 21st... should the car be done already?

Wouldn't it be better to keep the timeline and politics between the customer and shop on this issue in the future? Those who wanna be critical of any aspect have enough fodder to be righteous in their perspectives already.

Is there anything technical that can be discussed further?

Boy am I glad I was offline this whole weekend What we all think about stick's situation with Mazsport is something that we should keep to ourselves.. I won't comment on the other issue either but IMO that has been resolved also and the conclusion is pretty clear.

Now back on topic, please.

Stick, hope you get good news today. If it's to be deilvered on Friday the car should be starting quite soon if not already. I hope you let us know what's up. I for one can't wait to hear of the completion and to see PICS!! The second thing I will do after I get off my flight to Tokyo is check back here for pics (the first not being something I am free to discuss in a public forum ).

And to get back to the spirit of the 8 forum... It ain't real til we see a DYNO

If it doesn't do 1700+ rwhp, it was a waste of time!!!

I hope it doesn't have a Supra like powerband. Here's a t-shirt that shows why:

update:
they're working on the fuel system. because of the engine placement, there have been some complications with the rail mounting. if you check out the photo, there isn't much space between the tranny tunnel ceiling and the block. so yea, that's what they're trying to do right now.

as for the sidetrack, i'll restart another thread after i take some photos of my car. i don't want all this crap to transfer to the new one should i close this one down now.

and i've asked rotarygod to wipe sig's posts on this thread for everyone.

cnn, just use the ignore-list. it's mm-mazing.

I was wondering about the shifter.. you probably mentioned it, but I don't really want to sift through the whole thread again.

The motor is mounted lower and further back, and I remember (or I think I remember) you saying the shifter is going to stay in the stock location. Obviously when you move the motor, the tranny moves too... So how is the shifter still being utilized in the stock location?

it's in fact moved back 5-6"s and the FD tranny also has its opening aboaut 5" further back than the rx8 tranny. so the tranny shifter location is about 10"s behind the manual shifter location all together. i don't know what scott did but i should be able to still shift just like the oem shifter. he must've added some adapter in the middle because there would be more room now that tranny is bit lower? i really have no clue exactly what he did.. i also hope the tranny would be low enough so it'll no longer heat up my cup holders.

Oh ok.. that would make sense ...

But I like how you're getting a 20B swapped in... and you're concerned about the cupholders

I think that's one of the points of this build... Any fool can duct tape in an engine given enough time. Stick is paying for the whole package.

Just out of curiousity.. how old is the 20b you're putting in? I know you said it's being rebuilt from the ground up... but I'm bored

it's the d-series. it's the latest 3 rotor assembly ever made.

that's not to say it's a new block. i think they stopped making 3rotors in 90s.

but all housings are brand new fd rx7 housings with bigger ports than the 20b original housings. rotors are also lightened rotors with 9:1 compression. and i'm not at liberty to disclose any info on the e-shaft.

should kick ***. mostly my wallet in gas stations. i just can't wait. seriously.

anyway i'm off.
