I would push it to 10 psi first & see if your car has any problems. If it does than go for the injectors.

Hey cretinx, I would try pushing it to 10psi first, you might be ok...

I'am running 9 psi and my AFR 's are about 11.25.... And putting out 284whp and I have no problems... Also I'am running 100octane and still have the M Flash..
I have also ran it to 10psi and AFR'S still between 11.15 - 11.42....... I''am just keeping it to 9psi till either the interceptor-x or something newer that will be out soon that will control the auxilaries ports, Then I will really begin the tuning process... Good Luck

Sure I'll give you a ride, and you can tell me more about opening these ports earlier.
How about using the interceptor X??

My tech told me he won't do it if I want to raise it any higher using the e-manage - he doesn't wanna be responsible.

I could just manually turn the boost up and see what happens . . . . . no extra tuning.

hmm?

how about giving me $1700 to buy one.

At that price I'm going to wait for AEM to come out with a unit.

I'm meeting some of my old Celica buddies at Panera in Kingstowne

there should be a Supra there, an STi, a totally tricked out WRX, a scion and some other stuff too, but mainly Celicas - the DC Metro 7th Generation Celica (DCM7thGEN) club is very tight and very active. Feel free to stop by even if its just to check out my car.

Hey Cretinx, I did'nt mean to just turn-up the Boost. I was assuming you are monitoring you AFR's and that they are in the safe range.. Then only when monitoring the situation would I turn up the Boost...

I have been tweaking mine for a while now, But Safely.. Good Luck...

isn't there a universal AEM unit available? also what about the electromotive tec III system? the tec III is nice cause its a piggyback that lets you just ****** the programming for fuel and spark w/o losing all the other goodies that the ecu has dunno if its been tried and i'm sure its spency but still koo

cretinx, do you have any problem with the stock ecu messing up your tune? I know I fight with mine all the time. I'm wanting to go to a different ems and I know of 3 options right now and 1 that's going to be done by the end of the year.

yeah I usually get a CEL after about 170 miles of driving
I just reset the ECU and everything's solid again for a while.

Since I live in DC I put 170 miles on the car every maybe, 2 or 3 weeks.

I'd like to see some pics of the exhaust.

BTW, is the lower black bumper section that you ran the pipe through the rotary emblem area a permanent part of the rear bumper or a separate piece? I haven't been able to find a part number for it separate from the rear bumper.

Has your rear bumper started melting at all? Seeing as that heat is right beside the bumper I thought it would have somewhat warped the rear bumper around the exhaust exit.
