You guys kick asparin. Thanks for sharing all of your experiences with us. Does that take a ride in the 8 apply for anyone that comes down to the island? I always wanted to take a trip to PR, but my spanish is terrible and I can't seem to talk the wife into it.

Why with Renesis rotors?
do you prefer N/A ?
It's sound interesting but how much $$$$ ?
in our case we use 20B with turbo and 425 hp are so easy you can get that horse
power with just 7-8 psi of boost. and they are safe to drive everyday..............
saludos

With N/A it's suppost to have longer life than with turbo but everything depends on how you drive it. In my case I prefer to don't use a peripheral set up for daily driven but I know people that have peripheral engines and use them on daily base.
15K sounds good, it includes to remove your actual engine and install the new one?
includes the ECU? you need to be sure what exactly is included on the price!

Manuel

Yes they do but Renesis rotors have yet to make as much power as the 89'-'91 9.7:1 compression rotors when placed in a non Renesis motor. You also don't want to use Renesis rotors in a peripheral port engine as the shallower apex seals will hae a greater likelyhood of flexing and breaking.
I personally would never use a peripheral or bridge ported engine on the street. There are too many sacrifices to it. A good streetport is all you need or should even ever use.
There is only one thing that affects how long an engine will last and it has nothing to do with a turbo directly. It is stress. A boosted engine at lower rpms still isn't stressing out bearings as much as a naturally aspirated engine is at higher rpms. High rpms hurt longenvity faster than anything. It is true that a turbo engine can be under considerable stress but lets put things into focus. It would have to be boosted pretty high and even then tuning has a larger role in it than anything.
For an n/a engine, streetport it and use 9.7:1 compression rotors. You can get right around 325 rwhp with this setup. If you want more power you should really consider low boost rather than high rpms. Price is definitely going to be affected.

We are hoping for a running engine by the end of winter, say around march or april...
Right now we are at cleaning the "irons" (side and rotor housing and rotors) after we want to street port the intakes and send maybe one of the rotor housing for resurfacing cause it has marks on the surface of the housing...
Did you saw all the pictures??

last week I changed the right engine mount, it was damaged.
We don't whant to brake more transmissions so now we're
runing both cars with only 8-10 psi of boost, is so funny
they continue spinning the tires but much less.
I have near 420 hp now and that is good to run on stop ligths.

Manuel

The Renesis project is on the cosmetic part, the owner already gived
all the parts back to rgonza.....................he is goin to install everything back.
We needed some part to finish the car,
I ordered the inlet manifold gasket yesterday to rosenthal because I can't find here.
I think that rgonza whants to finish the car ASAP.
