2 weeks ago a few rotary engine car owners maked a trip thru the island
(they only "accept" cars with rotary engine)
I can't make the trip but next one I would try to go.
here are a few pictures, rgonza was there..................

A bird tell me that rgonza maked a few sick burnouts!

great looking cars manuel, love the yellow rx-2

20b's are getting more and more dificult to find, a few years ago you could find the engines in japan fairly easy now you have to buy the car and pull the engine from it, last weeck I got a complete cosmo from japan a guy from PR bough it but bail out at the last minute and I needed the spares for my car

we know some one that 6 months a go haved five 20b engines for sale
on that time he asked $4,500 for each one and no one´s buyed

probably the $4,500 is a good price.

I have a friend that buy engines on Japan and import them to Puerto Rico,
he is working on find two engines for me, one for rognza and one for me, we don´t have something to do with them but I whant to have them on my garage.................

same thimg is happening here, a few month ago the engines went for 2,500, now the people that got them are asking 4,000 or more, one of my engines was sitting in an use parts store for more than 6 month till i buy it, now Im going to keep a spare at all time

Esos cosmos no son muy dificil de conseguir pero creo que tendras problemas para tenerlo en la isla del encanto, puedo traerte uno y subirtelo en el ferry sin problemas

i don't know if you said you're using richmond or not, but rx7-20b people are saying richmond transmissions are quite weak for a blown 20b.

i'm thinking of installing just a stock FD tranny. most people find it reliable upto 500whp. if you drag it often like you do, i don't think any tranny will last haha

yesterday I used rgonza car, and damn I loved his new clutch a HKS twin disk clutch
it feels like or better than the factory clutch, If any one knows were to find it at a good price, let me know! the clutch is a HKS twin disk clutch for 89-91 Rx7.
I only finded one place on the web that sale it and they are asking $1,850.00 rgonza says that the price is near $1,500 or less.

thank you!

No problem. I couldn't find any other site that had it cheaper, but the original price for the HKS twin-plate clutch is about $2075.00 bucks anyways.. But, they are real good for high horsepower output.

Hi Stick, Now i broke the (RX8) tranny again yesterday. The FD Tranny is equal weak as RX8 (i Broke a few of then before switch to a rx8 native tranny)The Problem with this tranny is it cant handle the amount of torque of a blown 20B and with HKS Twin Disk Clutch worse it. I'm Workin in a Richmond ROD 6 Speed why this! Because is more easy to find a internals strong parts, for example Liberty Gears, G Force , it's tranny are based on richmond tranny.

Regards
Rgonza

Roberto, you and manuel are my idols, CAN I USE THIS AS MY SIGNATURE PLEASEEEE?

It atmost seems like you're saying "the geox shoes is equal weak than the Camper ones, I broke a few of them before switch to a 24HRS".

But no, you're speaking of 2000$+ transmissions

Just joking

rgonza, are you launching your car with slicks often? why are you going through trannies so often? i know many rx7 20b turbo conversions just use the stock rx7 turbo tranny for years without any problems. some have them cryo treated but still...

guru makes some stronger internals for the rx7 tranny, but the problem still seems to persist even after all the guru upgrades. i'm not too sure. i'll update if i find some new info.

in the meanwhile, good luck on your richmond idea. it's good that g-force shares the same box as richmond because that's considered as bulletproof box for the 20b-turbo applications. but they're quite expensive.

i'll be looking into that supra adapter plate. it seems like a lot of headache... ah well, i guess i'll let u know when i break my first fd box haha

this time he broke the first gear,
the problem on the rgonza car is the part behind the wheel drive, it's him!

you can ask anyone that taked a ride on his car with him................
they whant to jump out of the car, he drives fast!

I forget to mention that he is using the car without turbo...........

juanjux,

we have spare trannys, we buyed them on the $600 - $700 range.......
also rgonza have a few broken trannys for parts.

The Fd Trannies are good if you're under <450 RWHP above this is equal like RX8,
so we're not in this bracket we're above over 700 RWHP!!! The supra tranny i don't know how much it can handle but from the hp were we're running the reability maybe are compromised.

getrag supra trannys are good to 1000+ torque. only problem is their VERY short first gear. it'll be unuseable with our stock differential ratio unless you like to launch your car hard, which i'm guessing you do

think i'll stick with the stock FD tranny for now. t56 doesn't seem to handle high rpm's very well (synchro problem), so that's been ruled out. everything else is just out of my price range (5k++) or just way too loud for the street.

will keep you updated.
