Someone with an Esmeril kit needs to setup up and do it! The BOV pipe needs to be changed, the whole top pipe needs to be 3.5" diameter.
Here's the MAF flange: http://www.kstech.biz/servlet/the-2/...ugh-MAF/Detail
Our MAF is a Denso element used in STi's and they run blow-thru all the time. It works. Someone just needs to do it. I would do it on my setup but obviously I can't fit a 3.5" 6" long straight pipe before the throttle body without serious re-working of the charge piping.
But if I ever build that custom kit I've been mulling around it will be blow-thru

YES!!!!!!
Somebody please do this. At least with a blow-thru you can run an open BOV without issues.
Would Jeff (MM) charge extra to tune a blow-thru system? Does it require any extra work over a draw-thru system?
The only downfall would be the temperature fluctuations. Stock inlet temps are pretty close to ambient. A blow thru setup will be all over the place and read higher than ambient.

Oh, and whats wrong with the inlet temp fluctuating? The temp fluctuates in a pull through system too, you just dont know it because your IAT sensor is pre turbo. Having the sensor post turbo just gives you the correct IAT. Ultimately it does not matter, its just extra data.

You don't think opening up their kit to work with the most popular EMS option for the RX-8 is value-added (as Chris likes to say)? Not to mention the company that made the Int-X, Mazsport, it out of business so finding them in working condition is getting harder and harder?

IMO by spring you will have a more concrete answer, lol, in otherwords, "taking the time." This could work really well if steps taken correctly......

Here's the AEM MAF air straightener that is used for MAF setups with not a lot of space to let the pipe naturally straighten the airflow.

And what is the limit of the stock ECU?

Mazsport did not make the int-x, they just supported it.

I agree it is a good way to grab more of the market, however if I remember correctly the stock maf sensor can only read enough air for 400-450 HP, more then enough for 95% of the market but as you know they are pushing the limits beyond that. Now if you steo up to a 3.75" intake or a 4" intake you can go even farther. There are some other thing esmeril does that wont work with the stock ecu. But it looks like they may consider making a blow through kit, which sound liek a good idea to me.

No one has really maxed out the stock MAF even on a 3.5" pipe, yet.
And Mazsport did make the Int-X, it was a Plug-n-play Microtech and isn't offered/found by anyone else. They recased a Microtech and made in PnP.

Hey you think running E-85 on an NA car would be a good Idea? Im thinking cooler and cleaner engine are definite, what about tune? could I tune it for more power NA, or would you only see benefits via Turbo + Ethanol?
