Super! Thanks, I guess this shows Chris can do more than sell his turbo kit. He is also helping to improve on older ones to. Once I get those bad boys and I throw them in I'll be all set!

There was a Microtech tuner in Cyprus that worked on another customers car but I believe he moved to Thessaloniki, Greece. Any rotary tuner in Cyprus will know the Microtech and it is preferable to have a rotary knowledgeable tuner to do your tuning....but a good general tuner will research proper tuning for a rotary and could handle it.
A Cobb will require a custom intake which a tuner could probably setup for you. The problems arise when you are in the high 300whp range and higher where it is my understanding the airflow is so great the MAF cannot get the proper reading without electronic attenuation. Add to that problems with putting very large injectors required when for when you are going over 400whp causes the car to bog with too much fuel at lower rpms.
Mazdamaniac may correct me on this and he is the guru on the AP so his word on the AP would be the final one. Unfortunately no one has been trying to get the AP to work on a 400whp+ renesis if that is where you'd want to take the kit.
We were considering attenuation of the MAF with an AP for over 400whp but with the announcement of the AP being discontinued for the RX-8 it is not worth the R&D costs. If Mazdamaniac is able to change their minds we may reconsider it.

Lets say i want the esmeril kit but i am satisfied with power in the 350 whp range or even a bit lower which is still plenty, then what??Is the AP able to cope with this??Is it the amount of air the problem or the maf's position in the kit where is being disturbed by the hot air mass rather than the amount of air passing through the MAF??
Also, even with the AP being drawn out of the market, there are still so many units out there that in my opinion is worth considering an esmeril kit being tuned with an AP as many of us have the unit and can use it to lower costs of your kit..
Thanks again and i am looking forward to a reply...

On the website, there is a blurb that says :
Chris, can you specify the upgrades that these results could be achieved with, or is this something you're not sharing for business reasons?
Precision 61MM Turbo: Its a monster and isn't available in any other kit), good for 400whp+ (500hp+ @ flywheel). Placed ergonomically for better access, ease of install as well as looks. Easily upgradable for even higher horsepower applications (500whp+ for 600+ hp @ flywheel)

Just curious and this should prolly be another thread. But, how long has everyone else's Esmeril turbo lasted (the non name brand turbo that had originally came with the kit NOT the Precision turbo).
Mine < 2500 miles without hardly any boost due to lack of tune. (4lb spring and never over 6500 RPM)

Could you explain what additional items I would need to purchase with this kit? I understand that its completely bolt on, but I looks like I would need to purchase the batter relocation kit as well as the microtech. Also, you site states that there is a payment plan, but I cant seem to locate any info about it on the mazdaparts site. Thanks.

Based on this thread (I read 90%) it appears like...Precision Turbo... Tial BOV...Not sure anything else worth mentioning that would affect the Cobb senario. Chris started work on the MAF tube but stopped due to Cobb drama which is the reason for my first post. You resolved said Cobb drama cause you a quazy bee-otch and we thank you.

lulz.
The kit I'm thinking of belonged to someone in Chicago. It had the VTA wastegate hanging off the bottom of the manifold. Honestly, that is all I remember - I have CRS syndrome.
The MAF tube is everything. Well, that and the front O2 sensor. Look at the current state of the SFR kit - the Esmeril needs to look like that to work with a flash-tuning solution.

I was wondering if the turbo for this kit is interchangeable for a smaller one/
Say you have a blown turbo and just want to replace it and run the kit with lower boost/ psi, and tune accordingly, plus replace the wastegate springs for only about 8- 10 psi... ????
Just make it a lower boost kit basically... Since the turbo that comes with the kit wouldn't be very efficient at 8 psi. Does anyone know where I can get this?

whatever is the least expensive. Esmeril uses tial wastegate. I want in no way to pass 10 psi no matter how hard I pound it. Are you farmiliar with the esmeril kit. I will buy whatever I need to bolt up a turbo that has a great effeciency range with lower boost levels. I guess similiar to the Greddy kit. PM me to work out pricing and stuff. That is, (if) you can do it.
Remember, least expensive.
Could I just get a t3-4 hybrid to bolt up?? t-25

You'll likely need more than just the housing... depending on placement you may even need a new manifold and the bolt-on pipes on both sides of it flow wise.

I have a feeling the GT35 variants are going to become a lot more popular soon....
A TD06 (Greddy) is a complete waste of a front mount kit, small turbo's are for packaging issues (below engine) - if you have already done the work and spent the $$$ to front mount it then your turbo selection is wide open!
