We ran high quality 2AWG to the trunk from that JEGS jumper terminal, grounded the battery in two separate places in the trunk and grounded the grounds up front to the chassis and I installed an additional inline fuse on the positive side in the trunk. I ran out of 2AWG cable but when I get more in I will run a ground straight to the negative side of the JEGS jumper terminal in case I ever need to jump start her.

So far everything works great. Start up has been getting slower even before the battery replacement so I actually have a new Denso starter from Automotive OE Replacement and Performance Parts - In Stock for Your Tune-Up! ready to go in to replace my 133,000 mile unit.

when I do a model search on that site it says no electrical parts for the RX8?

edit: came up blank for 2008 model year, got one for 2005, but no way I'm paying $300+ F-that. It also doesn't state the output

Hmm, I do a search and can find all kinds of stuff. Are you doing it by year?

For example here is the alternator from Denso.

Denso 210-4213 Remanufactured Alternator

yeah their prices are a bit on teh high side for certain items. I have contacted them about the discrepancies in the years of RX-8's and the prices. partsgeek has the same Denso for almost $100.00 less

Thanks.

Boost leaks suck, I thought I blew the engine. But this cold weather is awesome! The car is running great. I hope to get on the dyno for some logging and tuning here soon after Christmas.

^ No I know haha, I was just referencing the fact that Texas does not get "cold" weather.... where I live, I can tell you that pre-FI and post-FI my car runs waaay smoother in cool weather and even better in actual cold weather; as long as there is traction lol

Yeah the difference is pretty great when intake temps stay in the 75F range and lower.

That settles it. Bags of ice are the ultimate RX8 mod. I heard Turblown is in development as we speak.
