If the 10's don't foul out, the full set of NGK Race Plugs or the Denso's may be the way to go.

I generally wouldn't recommend 10 for the street because IMO they are too cold for low rpm cruise and idle conditions.

Yea that's what I was thinking, more suited for track conditions at consistently higher heat.

Think I'll just run the race plugs leading only myself, not sure why I never thought of it before

I still need to get a few things tweaked from Steve sometime soon. As promised, here are the results of my dyno.

I might be wrong but I don't think the AFR's should move with the VDI and APV's. The HP line usually shows dips but the AFR should be a straight line all the way through. Otherwise you'd be going super lean under boost which is a no no.

That line there is 11.3 afr at I am guessing 8psi 6200rpm.

Again I could be reading it all wrong...

Yeah, the VDI technically opens at 7200RPM but IIRC it is dependent on load so I am pretty sure that is what that is. Either way, it is not an issue, it is still a spike withing the safe range under boost.

The lean spike at 6000ish is pretty common on and is the APV opening . The other rich spike at 7000 is a mystery though - never seen that before . VDI always opens at 7250 irespective of load.

Seems like you could correct that issue in the VE table...

11.3 seems pretty dam lean under boost, I am no master of tuning. It just doesn't seem like something safe to see under boost.

.
The spike is so sharp I would doubt very much that any adjustment would fix it . Would be interested to see if it was repeated on all runs - could just be a 1 off thing.

Hmm I was always told 10.8 is as lean as you want to go...

But then again this is the rotary community and everyone has their own opinions.

The spike was on every dyno that i saw. Steve did work on this spike a bit. Its much better then it was at the start of the tuning process.

Remember what RBT is? 10.8 is low end.

APV is pretty hard to get even, but i would keep the vdi closed in general,

remember in factory form the vdi acts like a supercharger effect, taking the pulse from one rotor and giving it to the other, from my experience this is no different then when your boosting it, it causes a localized boost if you will, this is how my last motor blew, as it detonated around 7000rpms

Just wondering, would the block plate do anything for VDI since VDI valve is between the main runners? I thought the block plate was for the secondaries. Maybe I misunderstand.

Yeah the block off plate won't affect the VDI. I just posted a random thought,
