Yea because we've been outsourcing to them for so long lol. Most of the manufacturing equipment is US made...

Luckily in Texas its easier to buy local.

I hate engine bling on my car, I'm all about the sleeper status.

I think craftsman is still made here... The wrench's and sockets at least.

It's really a shame that things made in the US are so rare. But I'll be saving $100 getting it from Taiwan.

Nope Craftsman tools are now made in China. My brother in law is a tool junky and he was actually really upset to find out that Craftsman stuff is not all American made anymore.

Yeah, a lot of craftsman stuff is china made. Generally it's their lower grad tools. Unfortunately they don't make it easy for you to figure out what is what, especially with the hand tool stuffs.

If you're serious about tool shopping and getting american made you should be looking at Snap-on, Matco and SK. Best way to find them is to ask a local dealership when they come in. Most of the salesmen will let you order from them when you're visiting a dealer. They tend to keep common tools and sizes on the truck with them as well. Same for getting them replaced under warranty.

That being said, i just stick to craftsman as my wallet is no where near deep enough for the above tools, and i don't use them enough to justify it. My old man (a former shade tree mechanic and body man, Ford mechanic and GM mechanic) says, use craftsman for when you want the tool to break and snap-on/matco for when you want other **** to break.

I will most likely end up going craftsman but would like all SK stuff. I think The OP is Very proficient at breaking bolts with about any tool you give him.

Yeah my dad has tons of stuff but he is as much of a mod freak as I am so there is no chance of him giving me his tools.

Yea dude, there is at least 10 pages of solid information here.

Heck even in some of our banter there is good information.

I guarantee you if a noob who was considering going turbo read this whole thread he would think twice about doing it...

Shortly after thinking twice he would start his own thread asking if he should go turbo.

Love this thread.
Should be "9K's back yard hang out"
The tray is not bling guys--yea it looks great but it is also one hell of a heat shield and it doesnt collect junk like the stock on does.-it also sits a little higher above the fans reducing that restriction a little.
Anyway enough about that.
What bolt yall fooling with this w/e?

Too many pages and too much randomness for newbs to read through. We will eventually have noobs posting up 'I searched 9krpmrx8's boost thread but I got lost.'

Yeah a tray is needed, it is on my short list. When I was playing with different air filter setups on the AEM MAF tube I removed that tray and my IAT's shot up crazy high.

This weekend the plumbing get finished and the rest of the wiring, UIM, etc. goes on. Hopefully I can get the battery relocated and load the base tune and fire that bitch up.

Hmmm I guess I figured allowing the fans to breath more was the best option, I plan on running no tray and a lightweight battery a custom bracket, ditching the batt tray as well. I want those fans to be able to push as much air as they can.

I think 9k is taking a break for a while while he toys with getting the fittings in place and all that jazz.

I am taking on a energy suspension bushing install which is sure to drive me bat **** crazy. Most likely it leave me car-less for at least a week, the instructions alone seem like rocket science...

Houston I PM'd you back, looking forward to helping you.
