I'm going to continue digging of course and will carry this convo over to my own build thread! Sorry for continuing to threadjack 9k!
in terms of MAF based tuning, it may be beneficial to upgrade MAF tube when seeking MOAR ... but yeah ... I am starting my own thread too soon

That may be true of the stock Greddy , with an upgraded wheel you need a little more to max. it out .

Don't give up your other job to become a draughtsman .

Otherwise - yeah so long as you can still get a decent seal . Be a bit of a waste if you get the flow path improved and then all the air leaks out the side ...

I actually looked at this yrs ago but never did anything about it . My idea was to re-machine the end of the turbo to accept a 90 degree silicone hose ......

I'll need to shave down the actuator bracket a bit to spin the hose fitting on but it works I will be hitting up Houstonrx8er for that job. The Plugs work perfect, I just need to get some teflon tape on them and tighten them up.

Think you can grind down that hump on the actuator bracket good enough so that the hose fitting will spin on easily but still retain it's strength?

Yes I have the fittings for the hose already. I am going up to my dads for the day on Saturday but I'll be free Sunday, I plan on cleaning the UIM and putting the coilovers on.

Sounds good man. It will be way easier for him to do it with everything apart.

Shadyscrew31 came by today to show us his mad porting skills Since my oulet was ported by AMR the matching Greddy pipe didn't match up at all and was quite restrictive so Shady did some work. The Texas8 was this weekend so I didn't get the turbo in but we did some work and got the coilovers installed as well.
