AccessPort and BOV selections for turbo 8's?

Correct me if i'm wrong but if I use the synchronic bov while using the AP for EM then i'll have to recirculate right? Does this hold true for all BOV's used in conjunction with the AP or is it only for the synchronic? Also what bov do you folks recommend and why?

I already have a synchronic but i'm not so sure I want to recirculate.

You don't have to recirc but it will yield better performance and less backfires.

I have a GReddy Type-RS set to VTA, it's no big deal really.

I tried running without recirc for a while - great for frightening old ladies and little children - if you like that sort of thing ......

Yes, you need to recirculate it if you using the synchronic bov with AP.
the car won't run correctly if you just vent it to the atmosphere.

i believe regular type of BOVs dont have this problem

ive seen cars with AP and Synchronic vent to atmosphere without much popping or problems. its pretty rare, but sometimes you get lucky

Thanks guys but I'm not looking for lucky I'm looking for deffinatly. Basically what I looking to do I guess is trade my synchronic for a good vent to astmophere bov. So what makes one bov better than another?

I have HKS SSQV vented to atmosphere. Works fine, just pops and backfires a lot on throttle lifts. I like it...scares ppl behind me...especially in an overpass where it echoes.

There is a company remaking the original Type-S but with a better diaphragm, if anyone cares. Personally I always liked the Greddy Type S over the RS only on the basis of noise (recirculated too) I've had 3 of them over the years but Greddy doesn't make them anymore.. Just sayin.. NGR Performance, they have a youtube channel.

ANd if you are wondering you can recirc the Type S by just shoving the rubber hose over the end of it (there was never an actual recirc kit)

You are all ricers!!!!

Recirc Syncronic - best for the turbo, best for the motor - best to tune with. Get a BOV speaker if you care that much.

if you're not going to vent to atmosphere, you're missing out on all the fun and you should have just bought a supercharger!

yah, I said it...
