Hey guys , wanted to get some info on some performance headers out there for the 8 thats actually worth installing ....seen a couple of cheap OBX headers on ebay but i do not wanna go that route..... any suggestions/sites on some headers ?

with whats out now, headers are far too much money for far too little gain. unless you can find something used very cheap, dont bother unless youve done everything else to the car and simply feel like spending more money

 

Hmmm thanks for the heads up...so far the only headers ive seen mentioned on the site were the REamemiya headers and the user Need for Speed mentioned a slight gain of 5hp.... curious to know the price of the headers if anybody knows..appreciate the help.

 

Most of the headers run from 1,200$-1,600$ (us) and make like 3-5hp at the wheels (if that). Thats alot of $ considering most headers for every car run in the 300$ area. In most cases a custom shop could fab up a header for 500-600$(maybe less).

I dont think its worth the $ unless you have a Nos kit or supercharger.
Even racing beat cant get around to making the header they have talked about for a loooooooong time. They might have a better priced header "if" they ever make it.

the problem with exhaust flow on the Renesis is mainly internal rather than external (i.e. header). The only goods ones are RE Ameyia and RMagic, but they are from Japan and cost mucho $$$, to the tune of $1200+ frieght and wait from Japan, for roughly 5-rwhp. You're better off going to a reptuable exhaust or performance shop and having them make you a manifold

 

I only bought my reamemiya header for 500. =) but I sold it. Decided to go fi. Anyway the header na made no difference performance wise. The tone was killer nice though. Header with nitrious and rb flash.... all I can say is from 2k to 9800 was one hell of a ride. Tire spin 1st and 2nd was sucky. So if your gonna go na don't waste money....

 

Any header on an 8 is worth it IF they were one third the price.
