AVC-R Help
Hi guys,
Anyone out there with a Apexi AVC-R willing to share the values set under 'Sensor Chk'?
I am keen to see if my install was successful
My readings are:
Throttle : 0.830V (no throttle) / 1.591V (full throttle)
SCSW : OFF
At the moment my throttle reading seems to be reading just over 19% on zero throttle??? any ideas why?
Maz

I'll have to dig up the color of the wire...I am confident it is correct though...as you depress the throttle you can see the corresponding reaction on the AVCR.

Ok folks, at the moment the AVC-R is connected to pin 5f (pnk/red) which is supposedly TPS1.
I have a hard copy of the ECU harness pin assignments that is in japanese but I managed to get a little of it translated. I'll try and track down where I found it.
Anyone know the other options for TPS?

Found this post that is hopefully relevant...
It looks like the options are throttle position sensor and pedal position sensor. At the moment it looks like I have tapped the TPS_A which I think explains the 19% under zero throttle pedal position?
I'll have to do a little more reading up on the AVC-R but I think that the throttle reading is for info only and not used in any of the other funky features this EBC provides around RPM and gear boost/duty control?
For that reason it seems more logical to identify and tap the PPS pin rather than TPS??

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/tps-speedometer-wire-locations-87156/ - originally posted by rkostolni...hopefully I will sort this out tomorrow and it is of some use of those who requested it...long live the mighty search button
out of interest any avc-r users out there willing to share their sensor-chk and boost and duty cycle settings? gear judge settings would also be interesting to know. I promise to post mine once sorted
thanks in advance!
a couple of good links I came across:
http://www.fd3s.net/avc-r_install.html
http://www.turbomr2.com/MR2/HowTo/AP...%20AVCR-01.htm
not RX8 specific but a good read anyway...if you have any other useful material on the bc post em up.

Hooking up the TPS wire is very important for the AVC-R since it only learns duty cycle when TPS > 80%. So, that said, as long as the wire you connect to is close to reading 100% at full throttle it doesn't matter if its off by a few %.
Once you have this wire connected, just set your boost and do a few full throttle runs. The unit will learn the appropriate duty cycle.
