I can tell you the reason why we will not release the SC before we have our own electronics. If we give it to someone who blows an engine or just has poor results it will damage the image even if it is not our fault.
It's would be bad enough if we did something wrong but at least we would be getting because we screwed up. This doesn't mean that we will not sell it bare after the kit is out. Then we could always defend ourselves by pointing to good installationss. I'm not saying someone can't do it better, maybe they can but we need to be conservitive.

Even if it is perfect, and installed correctly, someone will still blow their engine due to some unforeseen issue, either a mechanical defect or something else.
Greddy is known for popping rx engines, but you don;t really see a huge backlash agains them here, it's oh well blew my engine.. time for a rebuild and make more power..
The only thing rx8r's hate and constanly whine about is delayed products and vaporware.

The amount of customer support and service that comes with the axial flow shifter is simply amazing. If he throws half that effort into supporting the supercharger he will be light years ahead of some of the other forced induction companies.

Just keep in mind that no matter how bullet proof you make it, some dipwad will screw it up and will blow their engine.

Right now, thee EMU is Int-X, but that adds a lot of cost. It can do a damn good job, but its plain expensive.
I'm waiting around for ECU flashes for the SC kits (which by the way should be easier to do than for a turbo kit because the math for MAF/Air/Fuel is easier) or the RX-8 AccessPort by Cobb. I'm not going to make my move until then, and I suspect so will a number of other people.
The AFSC with cheap EMU or ECU flashes, should be a good deal.

I could not agree more. The differance between 4500 and 6000 or 5500 and 7000 may not seem like a lot for some of the more wealthy members of this forum. But for a law school student and new grad, those numbers can be night and day. Additionally, anything that is more easily reversible back to stock is ALWAYS going to attract more buyers.

Or for a college student... You know how hard it is too hit a 0-60 time of less than 5 secs when your side job in waiting?
I've been debating between this type of FI or nitrous... Before then I'll have the AcessPort, because that surely seems like a good idea were all waiting for...
I hope this thing goes into creation though, I remember when I was 18 and reading up on these forums when I didn't even own an 8. I saw this thread and saw a good promising idea, but it's been three years! :/

For the poor college student type of person, the most logical choice to go faster on a small budget is nitrous. You just can't do forced induction cheaply unless you source all of the parts and do it yourself. If you want a kit you either will pay for one done properly or pay for a cheap one that isn't.

The axialflow.com website now has some picteres of the new facility.
We're testing a new compressor this afternoon and I swear it will be the final design if it passes tests.
In the future someday I will run across all these test blowers and shoot myself for having done this. Of course at that time I will know all the answers and wonder why it took me so long.
BTW I have a new Nilon D80 and my computer has been fixed. I just have to figure out how to shrink pictures so they fit the forum rules. Then we can place pictures all we want.![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
BTW, I have heard from Hymee and he is finally feeling better and wants to get back to work. We are all happy to hear this Hymee.

You can use Microsoft Power Toys Image Resizer. Download it, install it, then right click the image and select a size and place to store it.
Can't beat the price.

Or you can use Picasa from Google (to share your photos online for free - resizing is automated too):
