Back in the saddle, ported w/bigger injectors
Yay!
I picked up my rebuilt 8 today. It now has an ACT clutch, mild street port, 650cc injectors, Racing Beat oil pump mod, and no eManage.
Once I clock 1,000 miles, I'll take it in for tuning and at long last post some dynos.

Congrats, you sure went through a long journey to get to where you're at lol. Lots of headaches before, hopefully you won't get anymore headaches with the turbo

The injectors were drop in, & I replaced the aux injectors.
I'm using a device that takes complete control of the fuel and ignition. It will also control boost (no sense in hooking up a boost controller 'till I get 1000 miles on the new engine).

Not trying to be coy, but the folks I'm working with have asked me not to divulge their identity until they've decided one way or the other whether or not they will officially offer a product for the RX-8.
I think they're the aux injectors.

The ACT clutch is the street one. It took a bit of getting used to...it totally grabbed within about an inch of letting my foot off the clutch. After a couple of hundred miles, it is getting more dialed in. I really notice a difference over the stock clutch. A big improvement. The labor was 'free' since the engine was pulled, and I need a stronger clutch with all the power I'll be putting to the wheels.
I went with the standard 2mm apex seals. The trick, as I see it, is to avoid detonation versus hoping the extra 1mm will save my bacon. For now, I won't be revving or WOT, but even if I did, those 650cc injectors will make the car so rich it bogs, I'm sure.
Moving forward, I'm going to see if opening the tertiary ports sooner will help me make more power, or at least broaden the power/torque distribution. The engine management device I'm using can control stuff like that, so I'll apprise everyone of those findings when they're available.
