My build is a different direction, we just have alot of the same parts. Obviously my car is a mess in comparison~! Don't see many of these manifolds running around.
I think we are close to getting the ignition breakup taken care of after shuffling several ignition coils out, progress becomes slow when I get sidetracked with the other projects. I did just recently swap my spark plugs as per Brett's recommendation. The car is currently sitting at 7-8 psi and feels nice a strong and shooting to be in the 10psi range with the current engine.
Just wanted to check in since it's been a while, I have been so sidetracked with my other projects and helping several other local friend's with their builds. The RX8 still drives great and loves boost! Unfortunately we have not pushed the boost past 10 psi since the last ignition coil issue's which looks like it's promising but will not officially know until we try 10+ psi after I can get my long list of builds I'm working on completed. I'm sure just like myself Instagram is place where there are more updates of all the current projects going on
Here's some pictures that hopefully you will enjoy in the mean time! One of many sets of wheels that should get some good track day use after the summer
Here's a picture of the progress with my personal FD looking a bit on the rough side but the collected parts are coming together (especially sourcing authentic parts) to have a satisfying end result
It's been a while but back on trying to catch up. The RX8 is still alive and well. I have been sidetracked working on other people's projects including my Turbo FC3S. I just brought the RX8 out and need to deal with this fuel pump recall. Hoping I can get past that smoothly and enjoy the RX8. Here's some recent photos of both cars.
Fuel Pump Recall is now complete and the registration is up to date. It feels great to drive the 8 again, in the next couple of weeks ill re-install my aftermarket fuel pump and eyeing attending a track day late December.
Been a while since I have been on here, RX8 still runs great, not many changes but very happy I found a local friend to fabricate the lower section of the upper intake manifold in aluminum, fit was perfect now just need to send it off to polish and coating. The other car projects have kept me plenty busy but it feels good to keep the 8 on the road.
did you expect anything less?
Besides, Gregs is good at getting me to spend money on my car cus every time he does something like this it motivates me to get back to modding my car.
