Baller Boost-gregs new low mount turbo
#26
No fitment issues being it was pre installed on a shop car however I did have some trouble getting the oil drain setup, parts for the oil drain were not included being the kit was fabbed on a rx8 with the rx8 performance oil pan and I have the greddy oil. I'm currently using a -10AN oil line and it's a tight fit so I may switch to a -8AN line. Having vband on everything makes the install so much nicer. Tuning should start soon but may be a challenge getting much done while sevenstock is around the corner and working very long hours this month for work.

Thanks! No plans for heat mamangent at this time, my previous BNR turbo setup ran and operated great and with a much more efficient turbo and thicker stainless I'll just monitor and address anything if it comes up

WOW, I'm impressed! That all looks like top quality stuff, and that engine mount bracket looks a million times better than that piece or should I say pieces of **** that Turblown sent out.
I may have to go down to Scott's shop and talk to him about something like this.

These newer version precision turbochargers are getting great reponse with the air cooled technology, engine coolant temperatures should be changing now that coolant isn't running through a hot turbo.

The only other concern would be having a silicone coupler on the compressor inlet so close to the manifold. But that could be remedied (if it hasn't already) pretty easily. Also Gregs, how close is the compressor inlet pipe to the engine mount bracket when the weight of the engine is on it?

That was my original plan, running a few laps on the track but with the short amount of time that I have and work being so busy there's so little time to get the tune solid for a good run. Oh well there will be plenty of other track days to tear it up!

Sweet. Looks like a nice setup, too bad low mounts can't be shown off at shows though.

That's how every kit should be made! My stupid sausage fingers got mangled real bad with my Greddy kit. Real nice fabrication work on this kit, that header seems to be well thought out, are you using the support from the transmission to help hold things up? My experience with tubular headers on Turbo application they tend to last a couple years before needing repairs (although cast is also prone to needing repair and is harder to do). How's this bad boy spooling up?

most people walk up and look just because they know its rotary, then they are like, "is that a blow of vlave?" where is the turbo? then they take a couple steps back and look for the front mount, point at it and say, yeah its turbo then they all go
