If you have to pay $2-$3 thousand for a warranty that is just ridiculous. That warranty period is only a couple of years too. If you blew up a transmission it would only cost you about $600 to fix. Any other car parts shouldn't add up to that much in a couple of years. You'd better have a pretty damn unreliable car to justify a couple of thousand in warranty or repair work in such a short amount of time. For that price I'd just forget the warranty and take my chances. Odds are that you'd come out way ahead this way.

Hi, I deal directly with Blitz North America. According to Bobby and William over there, The Blitz S/C kit is due March 2005. List MSRP will be around $6,500 for the kit however that is not set in stone. Now keep in mind, all the S/C kits they have released in US such as 00+ Celica, and the Scion Xa/Xb have had in past delays mostly due to having to create new software for US spec vehicles. As of now i have no HP or torque gains. This is not fact, but i do not think they have numbers yet for US spec RX8.

When the kit is available we will be stocking, and anyone can order from Matt @ http://www.rx8garage.net

hope this helps if no one listed this.

$6500...that's too bad, I was hoping this kit would be reasonably priced. Oh well, I've waited this long, I'll just wait for the competition.

I get all excited when news of FI comes across the forum. I have been disappointed so many times... I would like just to see a FI kit on the market, affordable or not. Just to be able to purchase one and maybe just maybe it would give all these other guys with quote "kit in the works", a kick in the pants to finish their kits. I know there are hurdles and when new platforms evolve it takes time, I just wish people and tuners alike would shoot it straight with us instead of building us up and then disappearing. Sorry to rant, I am just frustrated at the all too common delays due to this and that..

mtnpass: I don't think any of these folks are trying to BS us.. they're just generally finding out how much of a bitch it is to deal with a new product.. it wouldn't shock me if we only had 2 viable mid-power FI options at this time next year whatsoever.. there's no point in any of these companies coming on here, getting our hopes up, and then leaving.. all that'll do is not make us buy anything from there at all, which I'm _POSITIVE_ isn't their motivation for posting here..

Would you rather no one posted anything?
