Blown engine?
So this morning I hop in the car to drive to work and just backing the car out of the garage it feels..wierd. When I take off to go down the road its a little hesitant and when I get over 4k its breaking up really bad. Then when I come to a stop it idles really really rough. The whole drive to work it does this. So I got to spend the whole day at work feeling like crap....just wanting to go home and find out one way or the other. My biggest hope is that my tune just doesnt like the cold dense air today(its about 20 degrees cooler this morning than my tune has ever seen).
After one of the longest days of work..ever! I leave to drive home and its the same...even though its now a more normal temp. I tried flashing it to an earlier revision of my tune to rule out any recent changes. No change. I do notice one thing though. When it breaks up over 4k..my AFR is pegged at 10 hmmmmmm
So I spent the evening out in the garage. Went ahead and put my Yukon coils on the car. Also pulled the leading plugs. They looked ok, though its obvious how rich my tune has been running. I replaced them anyway since I had an extra set of new ones in my garage. Took it out for a drive. Runs perfect, even on stock dwell settings. Heh..guess my stock coils had had enough Oh and for those of you who jumped in this thread smiling thinking "I knew this was coming"...

Stock coils are bad juju... BHR Ignition imo.... glad you didn't blow your motor though. I know what a horrible feeling it is to be stuck wondering what in the world is wrong with the car and if you have a major rebuild coming. Glad it was something you could fix easily.
