Well I disconnected the actuator arm from the wastegate nipple thing and I can't seem to extend it enough to get it back on. So currently the arm is just free, any tips for this?

hmmmm basic stuff - this does not bode well for your future FI adventures .

Push the wastegae arm towards the actuator and grab the rod with some long nosed pliers and pull it then slide it into the hole .

some reason the wastegate arm does not move.. And I'm not joking the thing won't budge. I was under the car adjusting the actuator length and went looking for needlenose pliers, came back under the car and the wastegate arm wouldn't budge, maybe my car is mad LOL

well - the good thing is you just found your boost problem .

To unjam try spraying some wd40 on the pivot and just working it back and forth . It will just burn off when you start it but may help you get it moving freely ...

ok, so yes, it is quite stuck. After I adjust the actuator stick arm thing, I would be able to pop it back on easily right? cause by the looks of it, it looked 50 miles away thats why i was like WTF, i swear when I took off the clip and disconnected the arm and the stick it was moving then it just got stuck. sorry for the stupid vocab but yeah.

if you have access to a air compressor you can add pressure to the nipple on the wastegate and watch it move depending on how much pressure you adjust

Unless you have regulator and get it low enough( under 2 bar), don't do this.

I've seen the same thing . The lever pivots on plain cast iron and has no bearing . When it gets a little worn out it can stick . Follow my suggestion above and let us know how you get on .

Ok so would it be possible that the wastegate inside is stuck? Cause if so I'm gonna tow my car to a shop take of the dp and loosen the wastegate

regardless if the turbo is upgraded or not, your still restricted to the physical size limits of the turbo, even if the internal dimension is slightly larger than what greddy made it to be.

With that said, the turbo is deathly tiny and will not flow enough air to keep up with the needs of the engine at stratospheric rpms.

ditch the BNR turbo and at a minimum get a small 35r, this will REALLY wake up your 8

How old is the turbo ? - if the pivot shaft is badly worn i could imagine it sticking tight .
However , there is nothing that can stop it opening other than friction from the steel bearing . You might just need to get more physical with it .

I would agree if you were chasing 320whp+ . But for anything less the upgraded greddy can be perfect .

Thank you very much everyone, I wd40 the thing like hell. Got a vice grip clamped it and kicked it then it finally got loose, reattached the actuator arm. I guess I found my boost problem cause I accidentally let it swing again and damn the thing gets stuck, now it holds boost throughout the rpms. thanks again everyone.

Hmmm - as long as it does not jam closed ? That would be bad - like blow your engine bad .
If you tweek the actuator like I mentioned in my thread then there is less travel on the arm and it is less likely to jam open . But - if it feels like it wants to jam closed - dont drive it like that!

yup i did shorten the arm, thats why this whole messed happened so that would sucked if i didnt even get to do what i planned, the boost is much smoother and stronger throughout the whole revband(i only went up 8), im just waiting on my tune and I am stoked.

/\ heh that is a good question . I think 1/2 the forum is in a constant holding pattern waiting for their MM tune .

lol. Quod vide.
Technically, I am in a constant holding pattern. Most people end up waiting (these days) about 20 biz days or so (if they get everything right, which is less than half the time).

And, I believe, the telling term in that sentence is "do", rather than "did".
