Rick is in the process of rebuilding my l'il rotary.
It will now have 600cc RC Engineering injectors, a mild street port, and a beefier clutch.
Fortunately, I'm having someone with much clue working on my 8 this time, as opposed to ProStreet (pox be upon them).
Since I'm way broke, it looks like I'm stuck with the eManage for now. GReddy has a new injector dongle for the 'R' flash, so with any luck at all, I'll get more than 6100 miles out of this engine build.

My car is there right now as well. I got a chance to see your car with no engine or tranny, and all your parts sitting, waiting to be worked on. It was interesting to see everything bare boned. Rest assured, your car is in great hands.

Larger injector means more fuel flows through for a given load and duration correct? If that's the case then don't you have to remap the eManage to compensate?

use of the injectors is based on rpm. The prmary 1's are used from idle to about WOT, but are maxed from about 3500 & up. The secondaries are responsible for much of the fuel delivery under load from 4800 rpm +, but seldom go beyond 60% of their capacity (normally). The primary 2's are brought online around 6250 rpm's & are hardly ever beyond 35% (this information is per Mazda Maniac - Give credit, where credit is due).
Where you are looking to where there is more requirement for fuel (at high boost levels) are the areas where the P2 & secondaries are opening up & putting in the fuel.

Interesting that you would leave-in the injectors that are operating at maximum capacity and replace the ones running below max capacity with larger capacity injectors... sounds *** backwards to me. But, I guess that you need to have complete control over all the injectors to do it right. If you were running the emanage, it would make sense to replace the P2's with larger capacity injectors since GReddy has wired them for the subinjector control and is controling them directly. Then you could have much more fuel capacity under direct control. Perhaps you could even remove the S injectors from the equation all together.

I don't understand why your upgrading your injectors in the first place? It's not necessary at this point, the stock ones are good for up to 300hp at the wheels. I doubt, or at least hope, your not going to try for that with the emanage in control. I would recommend saving your money on the injectors and saving up for a new ecu. Injectors are fairly easy to replace and can be done at any time, you don't have to have the motor apart to replace them.

They are a tiny fraction of the cost of a real engine management solution.
Also, someone else can verify that the stock injectors are 'good for 300hp at the wheels'. My days as a crash test dummy are over. If YOU want to push 300whp with stock injectors, go for it.

more on the mild street port, how much and fogive me for asking but if I street port mine, do I have to immeditely upgrade the ecu? I am still running the stock ecu and the emanage, wanted the interceptor but i have had two issues with the car that took that budget. thanks

When you blow an apex seal, the car barely runs, as in you need to rev it to 4k & dump the clutch in order to launch it, then keep the revs up so it keeps moving.
At idle, it runs like an old small-block V8 with a big cam...stutter-stutter-shudder-stutter-stutter-shudder-shudder-etc...lots of vibration and rough as hell.
Say, you wouldn't be running the 'R' flash, would you?
