So much powa he broke da dyno!!! I think he said it's a 4 hour drive so after round trip it may be awhile...

Williard 03-08-2016 01:44 PM

I'm sending him a msg on chat.

He is probably "beached as bro"

9krpmrx8 03-08-2016 04:15 PM

Maybe he only made 200WHP and is out drowning his sorrows in Beer.

Brettus 03-08-2016 04:26 PM

Pretty disappointed . It basically 'hit the wall' at 400 . Suspect it's my last foot of intake tube (60mm ID) that's causing this .

The dyno guy forgot to change the title for my car BTW .

JinkoMK 03-08-2016 04:47 PM

It may have fallen short from your expectations, but let's not forget that isn't a bad result at all.

9krpmrx8 03-08-2016 05:00 PM

Not bad man.

Edit: Is that PSI scale correct? So 14-15psi?

Williard 03-08-2016 06:19 PM

That's sweet brett! 411 on a renny is pretty awesome.

yes it's correct . The red line is about 13.5psi at peak whp and 14.5ish earlier in range.

slash128 03-08-2016 06:45 PM

411 is nothing to feel bad about!!! Congrats! I know it's not what you hoped for but still fantastic especially for a low mount!

slash128 03-08-2016 06:46 PM

Makes for a cool tag line or something: Brettus has the "411" on Renesis boosting :)

9krpmrx8 03-08-2016 06:48 PM

Any idea what correction factors were used?

I know these dynos are referred to as the "heartbreaker" because they supposedly read lower than other types of dynos. But they are the preferred dyno to used for tuning.

I did ask and he said it was corrected for temperature (and baro. presumably) . The day was pretty warm actually (25C) ..which didn't help one bit as intake temps were in the 40s .

A good running NA usually makes somewhere around 190 on this dyno for reference. Plus they did say that a rew on a reasonable sized turbo usually puts down 350ish @16psi .

JimmyBlack 03-08-2016 09:02 PM

Pump gas?

You may have been expecting more, but it's still an excellent result. Is there any other daily driven reliable turbo setup that can boast 395whp at 13.5psi? Especially with this much boost down low.

Slash....batter up!

slash128 03-08-2016 09:23 PM

Why do you think I've been busy wit my clutch? :suspect:

I still got my 430 dyno :) but that was 17psi. 411 at 13.5 is pretty impressive!

411 was at 16ish
395 @ 13.5

9krpmrx8 03-08-2016 10:06 PM

Now let's see some 12 second 1/4 mile times :) I don't have enough turbo to hit 12's but you guys do.

JimmyBlack 03-08-2016 10:08 PM

Slash, that was a great result, but when I said reliable I wasn't thinking 17psi!

Any other turbos running >340whp reliably at around 13.5psi? Gregs?

Still awesome results man!!! Fingers crossed I'm hoping to get in this ballpark with the E50 mix at my current 16psi... Reliably :)

I am pretty convinced my failure was a faulty fuel injector as I had fueling problems after replacing the motor. Those fueling problems went away after I replaced injectors. So with reliable injectors I say it is reliable

This is my goal this year. Not claiming I'll pull it off, but it is my goal...

Brettus 03-08-2016 11:31 PM

would have done it ages ago if it wasn't for our stupid scattersheild laws

thewird 03-09-2016 01:00 PM

What is the torque? Do you have the graph?

Brettus:
amazing results my man, congrats.
What's next, 450 hp?

9krpmrx8 03-09-2016 01:21 PM

And all on what ignition coils Brettus?

don't have it . Doing it manually at 5700 = 304 lb/ft
