Temps from today's track day . This was running 10.5psi (around 340whp) with ambient temps of 23C (74F)
Pretty happy with the way it went ..... temps under control whilst beating on Porches and Audis ...can't be too bad

Some pics from yesterdays track day at Pukekohe.
Had a good day apart from a tyre blowout on the front straight coming into corner 1 doing around 180km/hr ..... that woke me up!
Pretty hot day (ambient 26C) . Engine temp peak 100C peak IAT 46C.
On way home the turbo developed an intermittent issue (not building boost). Think it's EBC related, possibly the solenoid valve.

26C (79F) is hot? lol

Car is looking good! Was wondering where you been hiding. Looks like you’ve been busy washing & waxing.

Car looks good: sporty, classy! . Bummer about the tire blowout.

Surely you jest. I'll have to design for low-mid 90s*F (33-35*C).

Good ECT & IAT under track conditions.

Cheers Curtis . I'm still running it at under 11psi (330-340whp). At that boost level ,It can keep up with just about any street legal car I've come up against. (including some exotics)

I'm starting to think about what I need to do to allow it to run more boost and make the car faster.
1/A/C delete or relocate ...to improve cooling
2/Aftermarket wider front discs (front brakes are getting too hot)
3/better wheels and tyres ...

In my dreams ....maybe !

Actually ...I just had another look at the top pic............ Looks like the tyre had gone down at that point.I remember hitting the ripple strips pretty hard at some point ...probably deflated it . Daym!

Track day went well ...... It was hot (30C is hot to me ) Found myself turning the boost down more and more as the day got hotter as oil was getting to 240F which I think is a bit hot to sustain ?

That’s pushing it, but glad to hear you used good judgement and it went well.

Thanks . It's really hard thing to do I've found ...especially when there's a car out there you want to beat .
I'm feeling a bit torn ATM...about whether to turn this 8 into a track only car in the long term ...... It wouldn't take too much to make it competitive with things like a GT3s or RS audis ... But then it wouldn't be a street car anymore .
